In my state we have at the state attorney generals office an office of consumer affairs to accept consumer complaints and they will send you a complaint form and assign a investigator to help you with your complaint. Also the complaint forms are available over the net and can be printed out by the consumer. I have used this service on several occasions against very big companies and did very well with my complaints against them. Ahhhh victory over a big mega company is so sweet !

Unfortunately there is a very fine line between false advertising and claiming ignorance. It is a very hard claim to convict. If you have a yard sale and put a sticker on a lawn mower that says 3.00 because you were not paying attention when you did this. Then you prevent me from buying this lawn mower at the 3.00 price it is considered false advertising. You meant for the sticker to say 30.00 not 3.00 so no court is going to penalize you for a clerical error. The same hold true in big business. Unless you can get a large number of the population to sign a grievance paper and submit to the federal trade commision they will just toss it in the old circular file.

Contact both your local state attorney general's office as well as the one in the state the retailer's main division is based out of. Make sure you send copies of the letters to the retailers as well.

You can sue them if you have a legitimate complaint.
