I have heard soldiers say they are doing a lot of good over there (middle east) too and nothing gets reported in the media but if there is a bad soldiers that do horrible things get a whole lot of coverage. I am not saying do not report on the bad.....but shouldn't we hear the good? With such bad things going on right now I would love to see film of a family that have been helped and appreciate our guys and gals. I am not saying I am pro war either......we made this mess and now we gotta clean it up.

From my point of view, many so-called 'terrorists' are in reality 'freedom fighters'. And some so-called 'civilised' countries are acting more like 'terrorists' than the 'terrorists' themselves.

is it not enough that monsters who rape and abuse little kids near enough get off with it,now ive just read we are infringing there human rights not letting them work in schools or live near them,wot the f**k is this world coming to,they put them in prison give them 3 meals a day and a bed to sleep on, i think they should be automaticly killed why should we pay to keep them in prison after wot they have done to poor helpless children, does anybody think like i do or am i over the top????

As my wife and I ponder my decision to join the Army, some pretty compelling questions are out there. I'd appreciate your experiences with the following (recruiters, with all respect, please f**k off):

I'm looking at a 98XL/98C MOS, and my buddy (97E, in Iraq) says I can hold out for the MOS and the language I want when I go to MEPS. The local recruiter says no way, the Army will give you the language it wants to.

Is the Army giving bonuses for people willing to take Arabic as their language?

I know enlistment is eight years total. What can you do to have some control over what the Army does with you after your active duty hitch ends?

Is it possible for a 98C to get SERE training?

What will Army housing be like for my wife and baby?

Does the Army by and large keep its word in terms of the enlistment document? If I sign up for College Loan Repayment Program and the Army reneges, my family is screwed on my pay.

Are recruiters idiots or liars? Their crap has been impediment #1

Ive never seen an explanation of how many are in a typical company, how many company's per regiment etc. I want to know what the current make up of the U.S. military is like & how that compares to the Civil War, a period where you read a lot about companies, regiments & brigades. Also I want to know all the ranks for each branch of the military. How do they compare with each other (what is comparable in rank between branches) How have they changed over the years? Is there a good site with a chart of ALL ranks so I can see & compare them? I hear things like E3, Spec. 4 etc. I'm not military so I have no clue what people mean. What are their typical duties, etc. I know this is a lot to ask but my dad runs a military surplus store & I work for him part time & I'm often clueless so it would be nice if I knew some more details & plus Id just like to know for my own benefit, especially how today compares to the era of the Civil War which is my favorite period of history. Thanks!

I say if you go AWOL nothing will happen to you. Back in the 60s and 70 many thousands went AWOL and the President pardon all of them. ( Carter ) I say "No big deal" if you hit the road and say Good Bye to the military.

It is really really annoying...why do liberals seem to think that, just because they are using a different vocabulary, they are smarter or more "witty" than other Americans? It's just, a pet pieve i guess...no offense to anyone...i'm just wondering what Liberals are trying to accomplish by using a different vocabulary, and dont say thats how you were raised, because i'm pretty sure your parents didn't say stuff like, "you are such a bigoted fool"

im not pro or anti illegal but im just wondering if all the illegals are shipped off or killed off what would happen if
if the cost of living skyrockets because the employers need to pay higher salaries ..then will services like manicures and doctors fees or going out in restaurants be high?
the employers would then need to ask for higher rates if they need to pay higher salaries, is that right?
would prospective entrepreneurs and businessmen rather not put up businesses within the country?(you cant tell them what to do, btw)
will food be expensive, and how about clothes or luxury items like make up jump higher than they already are?

I'm a supervsior and filed a complaint for possible sexual harrasment and was demoted once the employee cried wolf...i followed all of the procedure in my employee handbook and was retaliated against by the manager because he was embarrased. I'm an at will employee and my 90 day probation is almost up is this legag???

I am post graduate. From renowned institute. tried to do some better for poor with high social goals and responsibility. But with sour experiences from dirty, corrupt and nasty politicians and IAS/IFS cadres is starting to feel that my decision to be here to serve the nation ( Bharatmata) at any cost was wrong.
