Yes, rules mean nothing to these wackos in the middle east. By the way...are you a Glenn Beck fan?

When I heard about the resolution I laughed for hours. I can not believe that two countries can agree to stop killing each other but set a time for it to stop like its a television show. So now they have made the decision to end the bloodshed and everyone who dies between now and 5AM Monday are just a result of bad timing?? If you deicide to stop fighting how about doing it when you make the decision???
I know the U.N. means well when it makes these resolutions but I thought it was funny last week when I read the headlines that the U.S. and France had agreed upon cease fire agreement in the Middle East. Who was fighting this war again? Shouldn't Israel and Lebanon be the ones making agreements? I think the U.N. is a feeble attempt by man to convince themselves they actually have control over what goes on.

They're pretty much political ploys. And this so-called cease fire is hardly a set deal; you think an underground terrorist organization with strong religious beliefs is going to listen to a bunch of worldwide leaders sitting in a room and telling them how to follow those beliefs? The funny part of this is that the Lebanese government has "also" agreed to the cease fire resolution - as if they were somehow involved in this crisis to begin with. Ahh.. politics.
