Why do people think the USA and Israel are facists??

Because they don't know the definition of facism. Also, I think on some level they believe that if you're nice and kiss terrorist booty, there will be peace and the Middle-East will love us. It's really so ridiculous its hard to understand.

According to Benito Mussolini fascism is a merger of corporations and government (see link below for details). This is an accurate description of the republican controlled White House and Congress. Whether or not you think it is good for the economy, you have to admit that government has been awfully cozy with big business interests

In addition we, like many other countries, tend to base our friendships on our own self interests more than the character of the friend. We have supported both Saddam Hussein and Manuel Noriega for example. The fact that we are so powerful and so wealthy means that our friendship brings with it a lot more weight than most. When we befriend a tyrant, that tyrant then gets access to advanced weaponry and a stronger grip on their country.

This, right or wrong, is the image these people have of the USA. It isn't that large portions of the world have brain damage, as some will tell you.

Do we exalt our nation above the indivdual?? Maybe some think we do! I am speaking of the USA not Israel. Though that is not the basis of our government.

First, define Fascism. According to Benito Mussolini (heard of him?) Fascism is the combination of State and Corporatism, it has nothing to do with cutting off heads.

I cannot say about Israel, but the current administration in the USA is intricately tied to corporations like Halliburton. Their actions have everything to do with corporate profit and little to do with good government. The USA is Fascist by definition.

I'm not sure that those referring to the US and Israel as fascists are at all familiar with the definition of the term.

I think it's just another way for them to hurl an epithet towards their opponents - all for the purpose of making themselves feel good. I've filed this habit of theirs under "Strange but True".

Worthy of note is the fact that these same people don't waste one word, moment, or breath on the real fascists present on this earth of ours. Ever wonder why?
