lets say my friend was driving my car, who isnt insured for it..the police pull him over for a minor traffic offence, they ask to see driving licence and insurance etc... could he say he doesnt have it, but then go on to say he is me quoting my name address etc, then i could go to the police station the next day and hand in my licence and insurance and say i was driving the car so he could get away with not being insured??

does that make sence?

One of the reasons given for the structure of our government in the USA, from the federal to the local level, is to inspire a little competition between various localities for innovative solutions to "problems" (real, imagined or contrived). At the same time, the fact that much of our government isn't standardized means that your rights may vary by your location in the United States -- a person in Iowa may have more or less rights than a person in Montanta.

So where is the balance, or is this a flawed concept?

If they both ran for president, who do you think would be the better candidate. Despite the fact that I'm a Democrat, I say Condi has proven herself and would be a strong leader. I really hope she runs...it'd be a breath of fresh air from the Crawford Cowboy.

When I was in back in 1969 we spent one time in Vietnam ( 13 months ) and then we were sent home for good. So why do I hear the men of today doing 3 tours in Iraq. That is no good.

A little bit of political science-fiction speculation here: The legislation was passed following the election of either democrat President P.C. Pander or republican President "Cap" Toole (take your pick, I'm easy). Describe what has happened since then and how our nation has changed in the intervening half-century.

But republicans keep saying we had to invade Iraq because of 9/11,,
But Iraq had nothing to do with it,
Why don’t they just admit Bush was lying about the war in Iraq and stop posturing that they are saving the world while they keep killing people that had nothing to do with 9/11.
Lets get out of Iraq and start hunting the real terrorist ,like the ones that where arrested in England and Pakistan.
Do You execute the wrong man just to satisfy a need for revenge?
We know their pride keeps them from admitting the truth, BUT
Have republicans lost all sense of Honesty

You read everyday how the police will arrest a Grannie for defending herself against a mugger yet get burgled and they could not care less except for sending you a letter on how to get counselling. Our Police are not as good as they used to be. I have no confidence in them.Police officers opinion particularly welcome.

Will his brother Raul be just as hardline, or will the government fall to the will of the people? And is it likely that Fidel's death would create a power vacuum in the country? There must be tens of thousands of exiles in the USA who would willingly return if only to see that foul marxist regime flounder, as I feel the Castros are on borrowed time. What are your views?

Hezbollah does not appear to be damaged severly. The Israeli mission could have been completed without all the violence and loss of lives. Why the short sightedness? Who should pay for this?

The second amendment to the US Constitution: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

Obviously, the more politically conservative you are, the more you dislike gun control and support the right to bear arms to be unregulated, while liberals tend to want more controls and regulations. However, without being too political, do you objectively believe that gun control saves lives? Are the regulations we have today in the US (assault rifle laws, registration, concealed weapons laws etc) sufficient or not enough?

Do you believe it is more the person who is prone to killing and not the gun's fault? If guns were non-existent (suspend your disbelief here) would crime go down or would those people just use something else to kill?

Also, do you think the Second Amendment was meant to say ONLY militiamen and women could have guns? Or every citizen?

Yawn! Even if I wasn't actually tired, that would still be my response to the latest "terror alert" from the UK government office of Machiavellian nonsense. I mean, seriously, at what point do people start to smell a rat?

Tony Blair won't be cutting his holiday short, pretty much because he knows theres nothing to fear.

On the lighter side george bush learn't a new word:
