because theyre not killing each other off fast enough so we figure we will help them out .... truth is we are in the middle east as part of the plans of the PNAC as outlined in the defense department memo "rebuilding americas defenses" (i challenge u to google those terms) ....in a nutshell america sees china as becoming a major threat to its existance in the very near future and needs forward bases to help deal with that threat ... the oil and the economic system are bonuses to the war ... the real plan is to get americas military improved because it was in no position to deal with the arising threat of china ... true story ... and oh yeah ...the whole war on terrorism thing is a farce designed to get you and the rest of the world to accept "what america must do" to ensure its superiority into the furture ... read up on the terms please ... im tired of everyone being so ignorant about what is really going on in the middle east.

To buy oil. The same reason all the outher western countries are meddling.
Where we do not directly meddle - our oil purchses enrich one side or the other of a countries political classes and we are held to blame for the power that gives to the ruling class.

Also, how do you define the middle east? What people and countries are you referring to, do you think they are all the same?
