A child can acquire Russian citizenship at birth if one of the parents is Russian. However, please be careful since not all countries recognize dual citizenship: Russian recognizes it only with countries with which they have a pertinent treaty, and India does not recognize dual citizenship at all.

Ddon't depend on any web site to give you accurate information under all circumstances: If you are living in India, visit the Russian Embassy in New Delhi.

Yes, if she was born in Russia, she will receive russian citizenship. You can apply in the nearest Russian Embassy or Consulate. You can also go to the Russian Embassy website and read the procedure requirements posted there.

i believe you are allowed to hold a dual citizenship in 2 countries of your choice. my friend was born in canada she holds a canadian citizenship and a english citizenship beacuse her partents are from the uk and all her grandparents reside in the UK.
bit she also lives and works here in the US with a Work VISA.
