I would like to personally thank all of the wonderful, courageous troops that are fighting for not only our freedom, but the freedom of countries that do not have any idea of what the word {freedom} actually means. We, as American civilians, sit in the safe and comfortable confines of our homes in a free country, some complaining that the war is costing too much money, soldiers are dying, our government doesn't know what it is doing, etc. It is very disturbing and heart-breaking that at the same time, they are benefiting from the sacrifies and hardships that our soldiers have made and are facing to give us our rights and freedoms. Instead of complaing about the war, we need to be thankful, showing our gratitude and respect toward the many men and women who are continuing to serve and to die for our rights and the freedoms that we take so much for granted each and every day. I thank you. May God be with you all. God bless the USA

I don't mean this to be offensive so please don't take it that way. But while I've been on Yahoo! answers I've come across numerous American's who seem to think the answer to everything is to just drop a nuke on it. Do people perceive the US to be trigger happy? And do the American's feel that its because of their government that people believe this?

If you take a step back and look at how much we are taxed at the local, state, and federal level on an individual basis: gas tax, property tax, sales tax, etc. The list goes on and on....yet we have a major deficit and the government is looking to tax us more. Can you believe we have to pay to drive on some roads even though the government has collected billions in taxes for road improvement. Where is the accountability? How much taxes is collected total at all government levels per year? When this country was first founded, the citizens rebelled against the unfair taxes imposed by the British. How have things changed?

I think there's something seriously wrong with him. Maybe he is mentally ill - either way he is easy to control it seems. No wonder he is the president. Just watch this video:

Would pro illegals be happy if we gave illegals the state of California BUT NOT ANY AID. The illegals would have to make it on their own, and we get to put up an electric fence, land mines, cameras, dogs with steel caps on their teeth, machine guns, and a huge moat around California. Any illegal crossing the California border would be shot.

Do you think pro illegals would go for this?

She's a psychologist. She believes and has stated that sex offenders are unredeemable ... that they will repeat the crime. The person they are trying to prosecute is a repeat offender, and that's already been revealed to potential jurors.

The judge has stated he will even work around her schedule to have her on the jury.

She's not making anything up to get out of it, but it's amazing they would want her. I'm confused. Based on what I would think this makes no sense.

Why do they believe that war is not the answer against Islamofascism? Why do they believe pussy-footin' is the answer to everything? Don't they see that this type of behavior emboldens the terrorists? Why can't liberals use their brain instead of plugging their head in their butt?

Just the other day, a Democratic Leadership meeting in Denver heard a Black Demo Congressman from that city tell the group to adopt religion as a plank to get votes but to not get involved in "family values". Clinton in earlier years told this group to pretend to be centralists economically to get votes but to not abandon the socialistic agenda. "Progressive"--their latest self-label--is an acronym for "socialists", "Marxist" and "Leninist".

The question I pose is "Why can't the Political Left be honest about what they are instead of pretending to be something they patently are not in order to try to gain voters' trust, votes and election victories?"

Keep your remarks addressed to answering my question and your answer will be considered for the 10 points. Go into a rant and your answer will not be considered.

In the final presidential debate, Bush appeared to be telling Mexicans, *If you're worth your salt, if you want to put food on the table for your families, you are going to come here and work for $5.15/hour instead of 50 cents.*

Then he advocated temporary worker cards for foreign workers.

Isn't this just an invitation for a mass migration from Mexico to the U.S.?

seriously- does EVERY SINGLE F*CKING DISCUSSION have to revolve around the conservative vs liberal debate? has humanity completely lost the capacity for abstract thought? can we talk about... say... the migrational patterns of ducks without someone saying, "LIBERALS would love it if all of the ducks would migrate up from mexico and establish a communist economic structure" or "CONSERVATIVES wish they could outlaw ducks completely"

can we at least come up with some new words to describe these two retarded concepts, so it doesn't get so f*cking redundant?

thank you for entertaining my rant...

not by your salary, but by how much you can afford. for instance, a young doctor makes good money, but he owes an arm and a leg in college loans. a couple makes good money, but they have three kids to send to college, and their salaries mean no financial aid. a single man makes good money, but like our other friend, a big chunk goes to child support.
take where I live in NC. 60,000 is a lot of money, but if you live in Raleigh, the cost of living is so high you're middle class. if you live in High Point and you make 40,000, you can afford to pay a little more.
what do you guys think about looking at it this way?
