seriously- does EVERY SINGLE F*CKING DISCUSSION have to revolve around the conservative vs liberal debate? has humanity completely lost the capacity for abstract thought? can we talk about... say... the migrational patterns of ducks without someone saying, "LIBERALS would love it if all of the ducks would migrate up from mexico and establish a communist economic structure" or "CONSERVATIVES wish they could outlaw ducks completely"

can we at least come up with some new words to describe these two retarded concepts, so it doesn't get so f*cking redundant?

thank you for entertaining my rant...

The enemies of the people are republicans democrats liberals and Conservatives, the "Representatives" that say the are speaking for the people is a joke.Think about it, all our "leaders" have to do is pretend they hate each other on camerae and then once its off they rape our finances and laugh because they just gave us the recent reasons to label hate one another. They tyring to divide and conquer.

i get pretty pissed off at both sides.

The John Skerry types lie and distort the truth and them call you a commie liberal if you disagrees with them. Some of the liberals are just as bad. The Mr. Truth types bend the facts just as well.

And every time I try to point out that our country is most moderate people just trying to get by, I get accused of being anti-this or anti-that.

America doesn't belong to either the far right or far left.

(BY the way...i agree...we are Citizens of a country first and party members later in life, think about what is best for yourself and the country before whta nis best for the party)

It's because Americans are extremists. It's always either/or: Pepsi or Coke, Chevy or Ford, Republican or Democrat, good or evil, etc.

There's no room for a third entity in any of that kind of thinking. But we've always been that way - looking at life in black and white, when we all know it's really just shades of grey.

I guess we just try to simplify life for convenience. Of course, the media doesn't help much either. The more extreme it is, the more news worthy it is - at least, in the media's eyes.

It drives me crazy, too.

Well, in America today, everything is about politics....Grouping people into "Librals" or "Conservatives" is just the latest form of division and descrimination.. It is yet another way of forcing groups and names on people. This grouping starts at an early age... In school children group into groups such as "goth," "emo," 'rocker," "punk," and other suck titles... no one is individual... they all have the same values, morals, actions, or thoughts.... that is how some people think. if you like to wear black you are goth, and must be weird, satanic, and evil... I have heard people impose these opinions on others... It really bugs me and many of my friends that you can't talk about anything without bringing in "Stereotype" groups, and what they would do into the discussion... We just have to learn to deal with it, and try to keep in mind, that all people are individuals, with their own thoughts, bodies, minds, and actions... and also, that as Americans, we have the right to free speach...

LOL, that's a great rant. Wouldn't it be a great world if we threw off all the political labels and people had to run on their own merit as individuals?

I think that would solve the my side is right phenomena you are so sick of.

Loved the rant! Yes, we're all tired of the ME verses YOU tirades. Describe yourself as an American and confuse everyone.

Those words are convenient, if somewhat inaccurate, form of shorthand. Do you have a better way for me to discuss political ideas without using those words?

No, I want to put a shotgun in the mouth of the person who says "Liberal" or "Conservative". :)
