Recent mail servers on the Yahoo network have been extremely slow or not accessable. Is this a result of NSA's un warranted spying on US citizens? Is yahoo turning over records to the NSA or other government agency without a warrant?

I asked that to make a point to my daughter who sits here with me, she wanted to know why everyone couldnt get along on this issue. Trust me by no means are we a racist family as my daughter will tell you. (She dosent like white boys and will be the first to tell you this) And I accept whomever she dates. But this illegal immigration issue will never be solved so why fight about it. About 75 percent of all the American population had grandparents or great grandparents that immigrated here for a better life. The only true American is the American Indian. And yes all men can beat and cheat but where Im from you see it more in the mexican population. When it comes to Politics and Religion no one will ever agree...but isnt that what makes America so grand?

It just seems to me like Israel was sucker puched and they fell for it. I mean I sympathize that two (?) soldiers were kidnapped, but isn't the reponse a little over the top?? There has to be another, more productive way to address this. This response will just engender more hatred..

U.S. Vice President George Bush toured the marine bombing site on October 26 and said the U.S. "would not be cowed by terrorists."

President Reagan assembled his national security team and planned to target the Sheik Abdullah barracks in Baalbek, Lebanon, which housed Iranian Revolutionary Guards believed to be training Hezbollah fighters. But Defense Secretary Caspar Weinberger aborted the mission, reportedly because of his concerns that it would harm U.S. relations with other Arab nations. Plus it was said the Marines were scared to death to go up against the big bad Insurgents so the USA tucked their pride away and "cut and Ran" like the cowards the Marines are. Reagan said he knew we could not win against the Insurgents so we ran like hell.

I had about 2 beers and as the party was coming to an end me and my gf went upstairs. Then cops came banging down the door and they just walked right in collected everyone put them in the liviing room and all of us who were 18 got underage consumption,disturbing the peace, and contributing the unruliness. we all asked for beathalizers but the officer just said.." we can tell ur intoxicated" and wrote us the citations. This cannot be fair as i was upstairs minding my own business and they couldnt possibly tell if i was drunk or not and i asked for a sobriety test. then to cap things off after 30mins they let me drive home.. bad night... i got a clean record ,excellent grades wat should i plead? and what are the possible outcomes?

Ok, imagine this...
If someone came into your house; raped and killed your entire family, including your small children; took away all of your money; destroyed your house; imprisoned and tortured you; killed most, if not all of your neighbors; took away all access to electricity, drinking water, telephone (and internet); planted radioactive substances throughout your neighborhood; destroyed your workplace and any possible job or way to make money; stole everything you own, and all of the resources in your area (including your neighborhood's primary source of income); and left you and your neighbors with nothing except simple bomb-making materials...what would you do? Greet the person with flowers and candy? Or would you want to kill them, even if it cost you your life?

This is what creates terrorism. Take everything away from someone, and they will have nothing but hatred for you, and a desire to do whatever they can to pay you back for your injustice.
