How does this Sponsorship for immigration really work?

I have an ex-G/F that has been in canada for 3ys now, she isnt a citizen or anything, she just has a work permit... can she sponsor me?

If she can what is the procedure and what are my requirements?

No she could not be your sponsor. The sponsor is usually a citizen or a group such as a church that undertakes to be financially responsible for the person or persons they are applying to sponsor. If you are a skilled worker you should have no trouble getting a Canadian Work Permit yourself. You can get an application by writing or phoneing the Cdn. embassy and they will send it to you.
