netjr - HA HA! do the world a favour stop using oil lol. Its amazing how americans will defend oil and its use to the bitter end. Oh well only 40 more years or so for the mindless pollution to continue then supplies will hopefully all be GONE, shame we can't pack it now though.

YOU REALLY DONT KNOW DO YOU. ITS AMAZING HOW IGNORANT SOME PEOPLE ARE.

Its not about oil at all. IT's about protecting the fact that all the worlds oil is traded in dollars. If any country need to buy oil which they all do, they have to buy dollars. If leading oil producers switched to euro then the american economy would implode as america is actually bankrupt but because the central banks of the world have to keep billoins of dollars in reserve than the problem never comes home. In simple terms its as if america has trillions of uncashed cheques out ther that will never come home to be cashed as long as oil remains traded in dollars.

The last major oil producer to change to euro was.... guess who... Iraq (in 2002) hmmm then WMD then War and the first job of the invading force was to take control of the finance ministry and advise the UN food for oil programme of the change back to dollar. Phew. There is one other major oil producing nation planning to sell its oil on ist own exchange for euro.... wanna guess..... yep its Iran... suddenly at the first mention...their an axis of evil power... Any country suggesting a trade in anything other than dollar is in trouble (Venesuela)....

IT not a war over oil , there s plenty of it.. The CIA keep african warlords and wars going to inhibit exploration despite the fact that there is proven reserves in africa to keep oil prices high...American Corps control the oil supply not producing nations...

But most of all it must be traded in dollar or suddenly every central bank around the world will need to ditch dollars and buy euro.. Any fool can work out what happens then. The dollars need to be cashed in by the FED.. The dollar will fall (a lot) in value, etc etc.. govt debt will double as they owe yen and pound and the economy will implode... goodbye america..

If I had this problem, 5% of the world population and 55% of world spending on military, i would sure use my army to make sure all these little oil rich nations kept the greenback afloat..

Its a giant scam to get an unlimited line of credit from the world to buy more arms and crush every threat to the dollar.

Watch the sham between Israel and LEb.. Its just a coer to invade IRan by proxy...cos they intend to sell oil in euro.. no other reason..

Wake up America.. Your busted, youre just not broke yet cos you dont have to honor the cheques.... YET!

Sounds a bit extreme...and not really that helpful to you. I am sure you are not the only one feeling that way. You didn't say how you came to be in that church I guess it makes a difference if you have family there to talk with to if you are the new member still feeling a bit outside. OK...this world is not my home, I am just a passin through... there is some truth to being different in the world and being careful about its influences etc. However jesus did not separate himself nor did he tel his followers to stay apart. Do we help other people by staying away or by being close...does that make us the same as them or make us aware of the differences? As for experiences of God...I think anytime you see something with fresh eyes, feel a release through prayer, want to say Hallelujah or find yourself in the right place and the right time..thank God. The reason there are so many different churches is so that there can be one that gives you exactly what you need...it may be time to ask God for direction and to guide your steps... Best wishes.

I love oil. Am I evil?

I find that Crisco is much better then cheaper store brands, but who am I kidding?

Olive oil is also good, but I've got to be careful of the taste in some of my foods. Like . . . I wouldn't want to pop popcorn in olive oil.

I've tried to wean myself OFF oil, and have used non-stick cookware, and butter, but I'm really, really HOOKED on the stuff.

I wish my freaking GOVERNMENT would make another, alternative available to consumers rather then oil. I would use it!

Yeah, pretty much. I wonder what will happen when the oil runs out. All of a sudden there will probably solar cars which they have been hiding because you would not have to fill up a solar car at a gas tank. They would probably find a way to charge you for using the sun for power though.

It's not oil, but the Love of oil that is the root of all evil.

it's money, not oil. But money attaches itself to commodities that are highly desired, necessary for life and/or in short supply. Hence your question. In a smaller way, the same could have been said of diamonds - vicious cruelty practiced in that industry purely because of the money value of the commodity.

When water becomes scarce, what do you think we'll be fighting our wars over?

since the beginig of time mankind has fought over resources. oil is just the latest one. imagine the world without it and you'll understand it's importance. sadly no viable alternate technology has been implemented thus making oil even more expensive and even more "evil"

the spanish have invaded south america and wiped most of it's civilization into extinction because of gold.

Where do you think the plastics come from, that form your computer, keyboard etc. I cant wait to see what happens to dreamers like you when the "evil oil" starts to run out and you start to lose your soft lifestyle. Not so liberal then, I'll bet!

Oil isn't evil, it's a natural product formed as a result of geological processes. How we use it and abuse it is our own concern
