My uncle passed away last week... he was very sick and was placed on life support by his physician...

The problem here is that he had a living will that SPECIFICALLY stated he was not to be placed on life support under ANY circumstances.

My family asked the hospital why they allowed this to happen, and their response was, "No one checked for a living will."

What do you think we should do? Let it lie, or bring the problem to someone's attention? If this happened to my uncle, I'm sure it has happened to others.

(I posted this question in another section also, I was unaware that there is a section on law and ethics - sorry.)

I'm sure that Hilary Cinton is being groomed for the presidency in 2008. I'm an non-partisan voter and I wish the Democrats come out with viable solutions to our problems instead of just repeating that there are problems. She's (Hilary) will have a fight on her hands if Candy Rice is drafted into the race.

Obviously not many people approve of our President. Past opinions withheld, does his use of profanity in an accidental microphone malfunction cause you to view him differently?

Can that person continue to obtain their green card or will the case be closed because there is no longer an affidavit of support person?

Are there soldiers names listed on the memorial?
We donated money to the memorial fund and they said soldiers names would be listed!
My fathers name is listed online but was just wondering if there are names on the memorial itself.

Illegals seem to expect things to be handed over to them (i.e. citizenship, education, health care, welfare, etc.) simply because they're oh-so-poor and "only came here for a better life" and all that crap. Next thing you know they'll be demanding farm land and animals since as they claim Americans don't do farm work.

"Federal authorities track down 154 ILLEGALS, from 30 different countrys, living in Ohio". "The agents from Homeland Security and ICE, "came heavily armed and loaded with files and warrants for DEPORTATION." Of those arrested, the majority were from (BIG SURPRISE) mexico! They had been caught (before) entering the country ILLEGALLY.and had been ordered to court, but never showed up,or were deported and never left!!! Twenty of these had been charged with CRIMES (OTHER than being here ILLEGALLY)One was a member of the MS-13 cowards! The spokesman for ICE,said "You can't have integrity,if there is no consequences for abusing the laws,or ignoring a court order."Some of those taken have been in the U,S, for a decade or more. They must leave homes, jobs and maybe children born in the U.S. If they had complied and LEFT 10-15 years ago, that wouldn't be the case!"
HEY,it's a START!!!! Hope they KEEP IT UP!!!!!!!

DEPORT ALL ILLEGALS!!!!!!!!!!!!

in the streets of America as we start to round up and deport the illegal sorts. Will there be a mass uprising with mayhem or will the illegals go quietly, melting back across the border?
When the border is tight, and it will be shut down, what and how is the next step taken in your opinion? Will it be taken effectively?
How will we handle/offset our need for cheap labor in the USA?
