If you call your local police station they will be able to answer all of your questions. When calling. I would have a list of reasons why you want to put the restraining order on the person so you can explain in greater detail. I agree though that I do not believe there are any requirements as long as you believe you are being harrased.

If she has filed the order she should not be in difficulty if she chooses to interrupt it--yet she's making a extensive mistake if she does. The restraining order became placed into result to guard her from this guy. The courtroom gadget won't take her heavily if she deliberately places herself in place to be close to him.

The particulars on this action are different with different states and of course with different countries (there are many countries represented here on this site)---You must contact your local authorities on this and they will give you the full run down on what it will take---in most cases though it is nothing more than the percieved threat of harm from someone

Dear Brandy,
Generally, you need to go to the court with some direct threat of violence or abuse against you or someone in your care. There may be others, so check your local laws, which should give you some direction.

Every state is different....but all you really need is for a threat of bodily injury, like....."I'm gonna sneak in your house when everybody is asleep and slice your throat." Or somebody actually hitting you and leaving bruises.
Good Luck...

No requirements. If you feel you are in danger, then go get one. It will be granted no matter what. Costs no money.
