How many Americans believe that the War of Independence was in fact the first American Civil War! Bearing in mind that many Americans fought on the side of Britain.

Why is it that we have to be so politically correct this day and age. We can't say black person- we have to say African American, brown-native american ect... So why is it they can call us white and not caucasian, to be politically correct.

Stem cell research is done on embryos that are generally left over from infertility treatments. Usually when a couple gets pregnant, they don't need or want the extra embryos that were generated during the procedure, and they are absolutely entitled to discard them. No one has the right to take those embryos away from them and use them to attempt to impregnate someone else. So isn't it better to use those unwanted embryos for research instead of destroying them? That is the real choice.

1 If you owned a business that had minimum wage workers, and was forced to give them a raise, lowering your profit margin, would you change prices to counter act the raises? And if the price of materials that you purchased were also increased because your supplyer had increased prices due to a forced raise, would you again increase prices to counter act the increase?

2 If you had an employee who was making minimum wage, who was more efficient than any other worker, would you increase his/her pay on your own to keep that employee from quiting and working for a competitor?

Say for a minute, there were no illegals in the united states, we would still have all the issues that illegals get labed with such as unemployment, tax evasion, crime, diseases, identity theft, federal aid abuse. Without illegals to stamp these problems on, who would we stam them on then? Minorities?

Don't you find it amazing , that our government can trace a cow , born in Canada three years ago and her calves , to where she sleeps in Washington .
But they are unable to locate 11 million illegals wandering around our country . So , maybe give them a cow ?

My husband is in the U.S. Navy and i currently deployed in Korea. I want to put me and my our two boys hand prints on a t-shirt and put some sort of special saying on there. A lot of people in the US seem to think that because they live in the US, they are automatically free. They also think that America is the most free country in the world. A lot of countries are MUCH more free than the US is. I think what people don't realize is that freedom isnt free. You have to fight to get it and you have to fight to keep it. Government acts like the Patriot Act have taken a lot of our freedom away and no one is raising an eyebrow. Why is this?

Should i sign loan papers for my ex to refinance house. I have been told that i do have to sign but i dont understand because she is getting the loan based on the equity in the house & i believe half of that equity is mine until she is able to refinance & have my name removed from the first loan. Even if me signing for the second loan does in turn pay off the first loan isnt that still allowing them to use my credit as a basis for the loan? Do i have to sign?

There are many people from different countries legally in the United States and they each speak their native tounge. In my town I see 62 year old men and women screaming "Welcome home" to the young troops as they step off the planes and walk toward down town Mt Clemens. These same people cussed the Vietnam Veterans back in 1971 and 1973 when those troops came home. Guess what we did? As those old prune faced old war protesters walked over to my American Legion buddies who are Vietnam Vets we turned our backs on those old war protesters. We just turned our backs on them and didn't say a word. Let them praise the Iraqi troops. We have long memories and all they will see is our backs.

I would love to join the militarty to learn morals and handle pressure and to become a better person in genreral, but i dont know how hard it will be, i have a wrist problem and i dont know how many push-ups they would make me do before i end p hurting it more
