Believe me, you'll do pushups. But most likely only in basic training. But please listen when I say that you won't do so many pushups that it will kill you.
Most of the time will be spent learning in class and doing odds and ends. Out of an average day, you'll probably be doing pushups about 1%-5% of the time.
I don't think you have to worry much about it.
However, going into the military, you have to pass a physical. With your bad wrists, I don't know if you can do it. They have you lift a weight over your head, walk on the ground on your knees, that sort of stuff.
Keep in mind that the Air Force is the least physical of the branches.

Congrats on being a man. You see some of us have to do the fighting so these others can complain in a free country. But don't worry about the Air Force being extremly physically demanding. Ask a recruiter.

You mean the "Chair Force"? You definately picked the right branch.
That being said, they do require periodic exercise just like every other branch. I don't remember if push-ups is part of their fitness testing though.
