I really like Rush Limbaugh.

Many good people have become addicted to pain killers and they need to take responsibility for their actions. Rush has. No, he did not tell his audience every time he popped a pill. I'm sure there was a certain level of shame... and even denial there. In the end he went to treatment and is continuing counseling for his problem. He is now very open about the addiction and talks to people about it on the air when they ask.

He didn't almost take out a cop while driving under the influence and he didn't drive under the influence then drive off a bridge then leave a woman to die.

Then again his name isn't Rush Kennedy.

If all you can come up with when Rush does something you don't like is, "Oh, he was addicted to pain medicine." Don't waste your breath. If you don't like him, you don't like him. Don't listen to him. Thank God you live in the United States of America and have a choice about who you hear on your radio. Turn him on every day just so that you have the 'joy' of turning him off if that's what you need. In any case, if this is the biggest upset you have in your life consider yourself TRULY blessed.

No. He knows nothing about people. Bill Clinton's ability to relate to people, his dynamism and gift with words made him incredibly popular, regardless of his 'little flirtation' with a certain brunette groupie who now sells purses and tell-all books. He is good at marketing and publicity, but that in itself doesn't make you a good politician. Though I hate the Republican Party in America, I will say this about Ronald Reagan:

He had the nicest personality and had a warm sense of humour and was genuinely kind. He did not judge people the way Bush does and was much less of a warmongerer. He had better leadership skills and was less embarrassing to the States because he could articulate a great deal without making it ostentatious or complicated but was intelligent enough as a leader to make things work. He also sealed the peace deal with the U.S.S.R., when it was the U.S.S.R...

Nope. He use to be pretty with it and entertaining. He used to claim he was on the cutting edge of societal evolution but he doesn't go out and see movies or watch much TV. He certaintly doesn't go out in where the general public is.

Glenn Beck and G. Gordon Liddy are more with it societal evolution wise than he is. And Michael Savage is probably the most with one there is.

He for some time know is just spouting what he once believed in. Its just a job and money to him. Not something he has a passion for. I mean look at the lack of humor there once was.

He's harming conservatism more now than he's helping.

Are you waiting for Bush to answer you ? Have your fun .
I always get a big laugh when I hear Ole Rushy boy trying to make any sense of politic and the government . He gets so hyper at shouting his gibberish . He actual thinks that people believe what he is saying .
Hey , he's only an entertainer . And if anyone takes him seriously they are part of the entertainment .
He gets paid very well for entertaining people and he's good at what he does .
While driving , he gives me someone to argue with , thus no road rage . Say , he is good for something , after all !!!!!!

Fortunately for him, he's not in politics. He wouldn't last 10 seconds if he ran for office and he knows it. He's a pundit. Which means he just spews his biased opinion in a manner that is palatable by people who think like him. The truth doesn't matter to him as long as he can spin it to fit his beliefs.
If all of a sudden democrats all became conservatives, but were still called democrats, Limbaugh would still talk sh!t about them. That's how he makes his living.

No, he's a moron. Well, he's a moron assuming, that is, he actually believes what he spews on his show. It could just as easily be that he knowingly makes inaccurate statements because said statements stir up controversey, which is perfect for a show which could more accurately be described as "entertainment" than "intelligent political commentary".

I would look to more respectable conservative sources such as "The National Review" or "The Wall Street Journal" if you seek rational political commentary from a conservative standpoint.

Why would you ask questions like this? It is designed solely to start fights, you have already formed your own opinion and thus aren't actually asking for help, and you are outright insulting people simply because they don't share your world view.

Also, Limbaugh sure is doing great politically seeing as he holds a political office and all.

He is nothing without his writing staff. His material is much different since he lost his tv show and staff. Also people have tore him up and showed he is not very smart outside his scripts. David Letterman bbq'd him on his show one day. Rush was speechless.

I think he is a smart man himself but he is just a conservative mouthpeice. Anyone who only speaks for one side no matter which side that is, obviously cant be trusted.

Political genius? Not hardly, rather he is a self-proclaimed entertainer who makes money off the passions and fears of conservatives.
