Funny, as I recall the Arabs started the war in the 40s. The Jews conquered the territories during the war. The Arabs lost and then they whine that they should get the land back.
Then in 1990s Israel pulled out of the territories and the Palestinians came flooding back in.
This is obviously not about land. This is about hate, pure and simple. Arabs will not be satisfied until they wipe out the Jews from the mid east.

Maybe we should go back further, to when the Islamic armies invaded the area, which was already occupied by millions of Jews and Christians before even Mohammad had become a Muslim.
Also, you are wrong about 1948. The UN provided for a division of land, each to be made an independent state. Israel accepted this and became a nation. The Palestinians rejected this, insisting to this day on being given all of the land, not just part of it. (On the justice of this demand, please see the first paragraph.) Not being given all of something is not the same as having part of it stolen from you. That would be obvious to a child, but you somehow miss the difference.
At present, Israel has offered to secure the Palestinians in almost all (and I'd agree it should be all, not almost all) of the land made available to the Palestinians by the UN in 1948. The Palestinians have not agreed to this. Therefore, your statement that a return of those lands would end the conflict is just factually untrue. In fact, several Palestinian groups, including Hamas expressly reject any settlement along the lines you describe, still insisting that they be given the entire region, without regard to the very long history of Jews living there. Your point is so unconvincing that not even those you purport to advocate for would agree with your position!
Also, your comparison with today's situation on the Mexican border is clearly garbage for the obvious reason that people entering Palestine during the British protectorate were not crossing international boundaries, just boundaries between different divisions of the British Empire. Movement across those boundaries was perfectly legal in the British Empire, unlike illegally crossing international boundaries today. Once again, you just seem like you've never even encountered a real fact in your whole life.
Your point is bogus. Your comparisons don't make sense. Your arguments are thoroughly unconvincing. On the plus side, this might win you a position in the Bush administration!

No, Israel didn't steal anything. It sounds like facts are not your strong suit. Israel was partitioned by none other than the U.N. into a small (8% of the land) Jewish state and the rest to the Muslims. The day after Britain left, the small Jewish state was attacked by all of it's peaceful Muslim neighbors. Israel won the war and won some more territory. Too bad for the Allah-lovers. Get over it.

You seem to have a mistaken recollection of what happened in 1948. The Palestinians attacked the Israelis and they lost. It was the Palestinians that were the aggressors. They lost that land nothing was stolen.
When you go back in history you see that the Palestinian people were nomadic tribes and had no central government.
But, really this is all besides the point. The real questions is what are the Palestinians going to do today. If they are content to let a small number of criminal terrorists represent them, they are in trouble.

Excuse me!!! There were no Palestinian lands. The land in question belonged to Jordan. After the war the land was given to the refugees from Europe. The Jordanian did not want the Arab refugees from Rommel and the fighting so they kicked them out. Then the Arabs decided to try to get the land that was given to Israel and they haven't stopped trying. Israel did not exist in the time frame you are talking about. Go read history before you spout off about things you are ignorant about.

Has US returned their lands to the Indians? Who cares about the past? There is no right or wrong in the world, and every territory has been occupied by somebody at this time or another.
Saying that Israel should give any territories back is absurd.

There was no Palestine in 1948. It was southern Syria. The area was called Palestine by the Europeans.

The UN gave them Palestine. The British had everything to do with it. They dumped their really big problem on the rest of the world. They have always been good at that.

Your ignorance is only matched with your unreasonable hatred for Israel who is the only real friend we have in the middle east. Palestine as a country doesn't exist and it never has.
