G. Bush Jr., wins in 2000 and they have to say he stole the election. Their case is based on a demand that military ballots should not be counted in Florida and that some "people" misunderstood "some" ballots.

The "conservative" candidate wins in Mexico in 2006 and the loser (liberal) leader won't admit defeat and wants to challenge it in courts.
Why is it the liberals can not accept defeat? As far as voter irregularities do liberals really believe these only favor conservatives in elections? Do they not remember the history of the Chicago political machine for the democrats or the cemetary that votes 100% of the time in San Francisco - all one way. I mean seriously the irregularities are bad but they go both ways. Buses of voters hit multiple precincts in California, registration scams have hit both parties here too. So why can't the liberals accept it?

I am 46 and a former sailor and Marine ,if The military would allow me I would love to reenlist , I admit I am not as physically fit as I was 23 years ago but would give my right arm to be able to serve again, even if they made me a grunt soldier and shipped me off to iraq. Why does our government not allow older and wiser people like myself re-up and serve there country with dignity?

A logical conclusion is that life is meaningless if we are just a random quirk of nature? How do you justify right and wrong in a society when foundationally, life is meaningless?
If you google “evolution fact or theory”, it is clear that there is no proven theory for natural, biological evolution. Thus, a critical question to answer is, did we get here naturally, or were we created? If we were created, we can say a creator creates for a reason, thus, we were created for a reason, and we have a purpose to fulfill with the potential we possess in our genetic code.

how do you feel about changing the national anthem in another language. im not american, but im not one of them either -- and i am against it. i think immigrants are considered guests here, and therefore they should be the ones to adjust and work around the culture, and not the country working around them. i don't know why a lot of people are fighting for this. the people from my country are keeping a low profile in this country, we know better not to cross any boundaries. i just wonder why other people don't think like this... it's as if they want to take the whole country and make it their own. what do you think?

GC Services is a collection agency who are billing me for $12, yes a measely $12 for Marie Claire magazines that I never even RECIEVED. I know 12 dollars isn't much, I can pay it, but why should I pay it if I didn't recieve anything? Another thing, i'm not 18 yet, I will be in a few wks. Im worried it might affect my credit or something, I can't get a hold of the agency by phone and they don't have a website or anything so how can I dispute this debt? I need to get a hold of them.

How can we ever overcome racism with separations such as BET (black entertainment television) & NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) etc. - Don't these types of names of organizations help to perpetuate the division of people? - I am not referencing the type of WORK these organizations do because they do a lot of good work and help a lot of people, but the NAMES of these types of organizations.

In these extreme times, I see more and more people from both sides attacking each other. The conservatives, the Republicans, the ones who approve of President Bush call the ones on the opposite side idiots, bad Americans and a lot worse. Those on the left do almost the same. I believe that both sides are educated and research their facts, yet they are interpreted differently.Will there ever be a time where both sides will stop fighting against each other and work together for a more positive future? I was watching a show in which the host described the abortion question like this: Abortion is a question of the lesser of two evils, do you condone rape (you are essentially taking control of the woman's uterus without her permission) even to prevent murder? Which of course can be turned around: How do you condone murder, even to prevent rape? After listening to the question, that is how I now see it, rape or murder? How do others see it now that it has been portrayed like that. I must admit based on the question I feel guilty about it but I must take rape over murder, I am against abortion.
