Because of our financial situation, my 19 year old daughter is unable to pay her fines to District Court. She was advised to write to the judge. She was told to explain why she can't pay and set up a payment plan in the letter. We are not sure how to word it and how it should look.

If Bush were a true conservative he would never allow the government to run huge budget deficits year after year like he has done. He would have never taken us into a war in Iraq preemptively without our allies sharing the cost, especially when there was in fact, no immediate threat to the US. Its funny how quickly the war in Iraq started off as a search for WMD but turned into a mission the free the Iraqi people. If Bush was a true conservative, he would not be advocating and passing legislation that increases the size and power of the federal government. He would not be sticking the states with large un-funded mandates. And he would not be trying to create a huge new federal bureaucracy who's unconstitutional goal is to fund religious organizations that offer social services in place of social programs that his budgets have cut. And yet, SO many conservatives worship this man. Does partisanism really make people this blind? Liberals are just as bad, but one question at a time.

REALLY! If anyone deserves it, it's HIM. 50 000 Iraqis dead. The
allowing of widespread torture. Non-stop aerial shelling of Iraq.
Coming close to destroying the environment by pooh-pooh the Kyoto Protocol as well as gutting every emissions-curtailing legislation. Wiretapping the innocent. Not giving a damn about any of this. In conclusion, I quote from a graffito about what the rest of us are forced to do: "BUSH SAYS SHUT UP and SHOP!"

I think child molesters, child abusers, and child rapist are some of the foulest ciminals to walk the earth. Children are vunerable and innocent. To take indecent liberties with or to abuse a child in any way is repulsive. There are people who hurt children but don't actually murder them. They may not kill their body but they kill their spirit. They rob them of the self worth, youthfulness, joy, laughter, freedom, and the trust that makes childhood worth living. It leaves these children emotionally and mentally scared for life.

I used to live in the Middle East many years ago, and I had many Muslim friends. I wonder if in light of the new situation in the world if my former friends now consider me an enemy, if only because I am from the US? It would be sad to think so, as I am no different now as when we were friends. Do they now see me as an American first, not as the human being that they befriended?

I would like to think that I am a tolerant and good person with a good set of morals and ethics. I am bothered by being a target of hatred because I am an American, when I have not hated anyone because of their beliefs, whether they be religious or political. I reject religion as an answer for humanity if hatred is the result of religious differences. I disagree with our current political leadership for being so self righteous in their actions, but I think that the Muslim hatred is older and deeper than the current political situation. I think the hate is being taught in mosques around the world.

OK, we cannot get an agreement on this issue so the only fair and equitable answer would be a compromise that both sides hate!
1. seal the borders fro 2 years only citizens may leave or enter (pro crime hates it!)
2. give provisional status to ALL undocumented (ILLEGAL) aliens (ANTI CRIME HATES IT)
3. deport all illeglas who have ANY CRIMINAL RECORD, including parking tickets or littering fines(procrime hates it)
4. after all back taxes are paid, then residence established and a special green card issued and current illegals will be allowed to work (ANTI HATES)
5. employers are allowed to pay less than minimum to these 'new' residents as they claim they have been working for less anyway (PRO HATES)
6 no travel or money transfers out of country by new residents (pro)
7.new residents not allowed to own property/land for 5 yrs and after that they can apply for citizenship but if they do not apply and are granted deported (both sides hate it)
8 infraction above speeding-deportation!
