I hear you! My husband and I are small business owners in the USA and go out of our way to buy "made in America" products exclusively! Our cars...American made! The kids toys...American made! Our clothes...American made! Yes, you do have to really look to find American made products, but they are there and worth the effort! God bless the USA! Great question and rock on!

Have you seen who makes the American cars nowadays? They are made from parts from all over the world, with a body by fisher thrown over it. So no, I am not a hypocrite I am a "Consumer". If Detroit can't figure out that people really don't want to change cars every two years, and the unions in Detroit want to keep up with their old market tactics. Go for it. When the unions start working for the people by helping them understand that we are now in a global economy, that some changes may need to be made in their thought process, then I will give the unions some credence. I only see them now as locust feeding off the back of the blue collar worker.

Just because you drive a foreign car doesn't mean you're not patriotic. For instance, a Ford Mustang is made up of about 35% foreign parts while a Honda is made of about 85% American parts.

Also, many "foreign" cars are made right here in the good ol' USA by union workers. So, the type of vehicle you drive is a poor indicator of patriotism or political ideology.

Where have you been?
You think that someone isn't a good American unless they buy an American auto? Where do you think most of these cars are manufactured? Or is it simply because they're not made by Union personnel?
As Americans we support who and what we want and however we choose to display that support. I don't see any correlation between supporting the troops and supporting the unions.

Is there such a thing as an American made car? Many are assembled here of parts from around the world. Ford Ranger is the same as the Mazda B10. My Toyota was assembled in Ohio My dodge has a motor from Canada.

first off, SPELLCHECK. you desperately need it.

next, most import cars are assembled right here in the good ol' US of A. also, why should i not be able to support whatever i feel like while driving whatever i feel like? this IS america where i'm free to do so, right? lastly, when i find an american made vehicle that isn't a huge POS or tremendously overpriced, i'll consider it.

maybe you should worry more about your driving and less about reading others stickers or magnets...

just a thought.

A lot of those people with Support our troops stickers are terrorists. They hide behind a pro American mask. All the while plotting to do evil things like marry a non Muslim or tell a Christian that Allah loves them.

Many imported cars get better gas mileage. I don't think the car you drive determines whether you are patriotic or not. When American auto manufactures start making vehicles whith better fuel economy Americans might start buy them again.

There are few "imported" cars any more. Hondas are made in Ohio by Americans using American parts. Toyotas are made in Indiana, Kentucky and Texas. Subarus are made in Indiana. Mercedes-Benzes are made in Alabama.

By contrast, Ford has plans in Mexico; GM has plants in Canada. What's an imported car?

They put a ribbon on their cars because the care about the troops.
Then, they drive like assholes because they DON'T care about their neighbors.
THAT'S Hypocrisy.

Not everyone can drive a US car (made in Mexico, Canada, Brazil, N.Ireland ) by the way.

You don't have to have an american car to be patriotic, the way gas is currently, I'm glad I have a Honda that will run forever and gets good gas mileage. I'm practical first, then I show my support how I can.
