I support the individual soldiers who are out there risking their lives, their families that miss them, and the sacrifices they are making.
I do not support the war & wish it had never started but I support the people who do their job knowing it puts them in harms way. They are very brave and deserve our thanks...
Thanks!

I think the question should be "why would'nt we support our troops" ? These men and women give 100% for this country everyday. They are not just " the troops" as you describe them..they are" OUR TROOPS".
People can say over and over that they are not fighting for them but the last time that I checked their uniforms read U.S. and incase you need reminded that means that they are representing america. Im so tired of giving my view point on why this war is in my opinion right so let me break this down real simple for all of you who have a hard time with comprehension......these soldiers took an oath. They are doing a job that they swore under oath to do. Whether you agree with the war or not is'nt the issue when you're talking about our soldiers. They deserve so much respect for what they have gave and the sad thing is as an american you should've known to give them that without question. I'd love to see you do just one day of what they go through and see if you still think asking this question was a good idea. It's not just an insult to those serving but those who have gave the ultimate price, their lives and hey lets not forget the families and friends who lost loved ones. Wonder what they would think if they read a ridiculous question like this? How sad that even after the lessons we should've learned by the past some of us are ignorant enough to want to repeat history. Here's a thought ..go ask a viet nam vet if he thinks these soldiers deserve our support.

I support the troops because they will kill and be killed so I don't have to. The only "intention" they have is to obey the lawful orders given to them. Those orders come from the civilian government. If their actions support the accomplishment of the mission, I support their actions completely.

because we are Americans, and they are defending our belief system and are fighting against terrorism so that we dont have to live in fear of those morons. The President told everyone, back when his support network was higher, that this war was going to be a long one, and that there would be many casualties. People were ready to fight then, after 9-11. Now, nobody seems to remember what he said, and blames him for the deaths. Its stupid. War=death. period. The soldiers know their job description, and I am so proud of them . They are braver than most of the stupid liberals over here that lay around and point fingers at Bush. I love America, and we should stand up and show our soldiers some love and support.

I support the troops because I think many of them are too ignorant of their circumstances to know why they are doing what they do. The soldier sees the world through a straw and never really gets a glimpse at the bigger picture. They are trained to do what they are told.

It isn't a matter of intentions or actions, I respect anyone that lives by a code and is willing to fight for something greater than themselves, that they think there is something worth more than their own life. We're all small and insignificant, we can't carry the world on our backs but we can still try and make a dent in it. I respect anyone that lives by a moral code, including foreign soldiers. I don't think the terrorists qualify though because they strike me as souless animals that have no morality. They are cowards that hide behind false religion and try to use it to justify their own anger and hate.

It's an all-volunteer force. People can quit if they don't like what's being asked of them. If a draft is ordered, then people are forced to serve.
At that time, you'll see some real fireworks.
Until then, the population will accept the abuse of the military by the government, because they are all volunteers.

"The Troops" go to do what the politicians order them to do. What choice do they have in the matter? So it's NOT about "supporting the troops" - which is so popular now. It's about supporting the politcians who sent them, or not supporting them.

It's not about their intentions or their actions but, Them. I hope that they come back safe and sound. I don't belive in the War but since their is no draft I support the ones who go to fight with their own free will, and hope they come back soon.

I support our troops and their commitment. They are Americans, sons and daughters of people from all over this country. My son is in the Air Force. God Bless all of you who serve our country, and thank you.
