I think that a lot of people on here forget this is the world wide web. English is not the first language for many people on this site. I personally give them a lot of credit for making theselves understood. I don't speak any foreign language and can just barely speak English. Lighten up and just try and learn from the rest of the world.

I sometimes have a slight problem understanding some of the questions on here because the spelling is so bad.........
No I try not to misspell but that does not mean they I do not do it on accident..
But then isn't that what spell check is for anyway?
So you don't look like an Idiot....
I am a Good speller but sometimes I do hit the wrong buttons.....
and do not check to see if I made a mistake.......

Spelling matters when you have spell check available to you. Yes, I misspell. I also use spell check. No only bad spelling, but people who compose incomprehensible sentences. That really drives me crazy.

Yes, the spelling matters. Particularly when there is a spell check box in the upper right hand corner.

As long as it's legible, it should be best answer. I am guilty of misspelling since I'm usually distracted by something when I'm on the computer.

Yes the spelling does matter. Not as much as the grammor of the question but it does matter.

It is very important to me. One of my key strengths is communicating so it is just absolutely necessary for me that my words are properly spelled. Although, I may have mis-spelled some words because I also generally type fast. :)

Yes it does.
Not to the point of some of our really picky posters, but you must agree that sometimes you just can't understand what the person meant. It's just that incoherent.
