Since you want the US to cease being a sovereign nation and be run by the UN (LOL) or for Mexico/US/Canada to become something like the EU (God forbit), surely you are not celebrating American independence. Not with a straight face at least, right?

Why Is Taco Bell's Slogan, Run Across The Border?

Taco Bell is not even mexican food. its gross and disgusting. yet a lot of people think that it is mexican food. i mean, what the heck is a churrito? And what about "run across the border?" what is that all about? and then everyones complaining about mexicans sneaking to the US when the US adverstises it.

Do you think the U.S. is headed towards facism and, if so, how can we prevent it?

Some of the reasons I think we're headed towards facism:

- Heightened nationalism, economic corporatism, and xenophobia.
- The "act first, think later" anti-intellectual philosophy of our
government.
- Increased executive authority and ineffective congressional
oversight.
- "Secret" programs that give the government access to private
citizen's financial and personal data.
- A citizenry that trusts its government at face value and increasingly distrusts and despises the media.
- A general feeling that America is infallable, that our ends justify
our means simply because we are so great.
- A general feeling that American, the nation, is superior to its
citizens.
- A citizenry that prefers not to think about what is right or wrong
for the country, but rather what is right or wrong for their party, who
are thinking the same thing themselves.
- A general lack of open-mindedness in regards to foreign cultures andany line of thinking that does not flesh with the global market
economy.

Why is the United States flag patch on American military uniforms now face in the opposite direction.?

On the US Military Uniforms, in the past the flag patch face left to right. Star on the left. now they are on the right., facing right to left. Traditionaly that is a sign of distress.

Should I tell the truth?

My friend's husband cheated on her. They have three beautiful children, the youngest, under a year old. She hasn't asked me right out what I think yet, it's most just been letting her cry, and comforting her. But when she does ask (and I know she will) should I tell her that "He's a lying bastard and she should leave him" like I want to, or should I lie and tell her to work it out, it's hard because of the children, he is a great father with them.

Defamation of Character?

This happened in Michigan. I went to court vs my daughter's mother to get make-up parenting time. She has kept her from me 7 different weeks (it took them a while to get me to court). Her first excuse for taking my time away was "she should be with her mother." After the judge dismissed that she told her she would give her another chance and if she came back she would put her in jail. She then proceeded to get emotional and talk about how i am an abusive father. the judge asked if she had gone to CPS (child protective services) about this and she stated yes. They have no case on me though and i have talked to them myself. She then talked about how the CPS hadn't done "for her" what they should have. The judge told her "then you have to follow the order." she continued again more elevated then before and the judge told her those where accusations and she would throw her in jail if she continued to talk.
