Because if you havnt noticed, we're still one country. Get over this nationalism, friendly rivalry is one think but going on about 'english oppression' is another. We've been a unified country for over 300 years now, give it a rest man.
BTW, Im English and i personally dont give a hoot about scottish, welsh or irish nationalism. We're one country, the United Kingdom, so get over it.

4 regions friend, the nations died long ago. We became one, admittedly under English countrol, but we still became one. I cant see us ever surviving without the Union..Wales has no independant economy, Scotland has some of Europes most depressed areas...face it, we need each other to survive and we need to let old notions die. We're the UK.

When oil was discovered it was for the entire island. If it was just for Scotland then surely Scotland would have had to pay for the research and for the rigging etc.... If you check things out I think you'll find that Scotland don't do too badly out of the whole deal. At least you have a Scottish Assembly - so do the Welsh for that matter - whereas constitutionally England don't exist...

warm Pants, from the 70's Mini Skirts! even as the bikini got here out, some human beings were very much shocked! "now human beings have G strings" I actually have not in any respect wore any of those! Even contained in the 1970s i became a wide gal, and that i knew a thanks to gown perfect! Scotland recieves a lot of subsidises in other areas from the rest of the UK. More per head of the population than any other part of the UK.

if we are four countries stop you arrogant Scottish mps voting on our laws when they vote against them for Scotland personally i would put a barrier up between the countries and send all the Scottish scroungers back to their Glasgow slums to enjoy their crack and alcohol.

we didnt give it willingly. they stole it from us. same as they stole everything else from us since history began just about. with scotlands population scotlands oil would have kept us going for a long time.
