you sure can support our troops and disagree with the war in Iraq. you've got to always remember that our troops don't get a say as to weather they are going to war or not. one thing a lot of people forget to mention is that not all the troops overseas support the war eather. The troops don't care if we support the war, they just want us to support them and show that we the people stand be hind them 100% no matter what. Hubby was in Iraq for a year and a lot of the men and women he new or came in contact with didn't think we should still be in Iraq.

One reason I disagree with the war in Iraq is BECAUSE I want the safe return of troops.

Of course you can. That's what makes up our Constitution. You have the right the feel, speak, and think any way you choose. My husband is in the Navy but I hate the Military. I'm more against the Military than anyone I know, but I support him and I am very proud of him and everyone he serves with. I don't think the soldiers need to be there anymore. There time is up. But the only thing you can do right now is pray for everyones safe return home.

The concept of being "unpatriotic" by disagreeing with the war is a pathetic attempt by political spin-doctors to MAKE you support the war. HOW childish!

Any human being that is thinking correctly WILL support the safe return of your troops.

Whether or not you agree with the war itself is a personal choice.
The concept of "freedom of speech" comes to mind.

Of course. While you may disagree with why we are there, you must support the troops with the best we have and hope that they can come home safely and soon, after all it was not their choice to go.

Yes. Only small minded people can translate a disagreement with the war into hatred for our soldiers.

Our troops are doing a difficult job in horrendous circumstances and deserve our support and good wishes.

The way to voice your disagreement with the mission is through the ballot box and not as enemy propaganda.

My complaint about this attitude is that it increases the danger to the troops. Every time the enemy hears this they feel that they can defeat us (and enslave the Iraqi people) if they just kill a few more of my friends.

And there is the issue of the betrayal of the troops by flushing everything we have achieved down the toilet - just because your politics cannot allow a Republican President to win a war.

The troops see your attitude as a knife in the back.

And if you win and cause us to lose - who will fight for you next time?

Of course. The troops are over there because they are ordered to do a job, and have no choice but to do what they are told. The political decisions that have them there may be flawed, but I am behind our troops 100 percent either way!!!!

I disagree with the war, but i am hoping for the safe return of my husband from iraq. If it wasnt for all this bullshit, he would be here with me and our two sons. Bin Laden needs to keel over, then hopefully the war will dim down

I don't see that as a problem at all. As a soldier I have met many people who did not support the first Gulf War, and yet, thanked me for my service to the country.
