I beieve in God with a capital G! I am "born again". A lot of people are just blinded by the world. Evidence of God is everywhere.

I was raised Anglican on my mothers side and Catholic on my fathers.
I was born with a facial deformity, I would pray to God every day, night and anytime I felt alone. I would pray to be treated normal, to let the teasing and the pain stop, to feel like I fit in with my family (not that they ever did anything to make me feel different, I felt like I was different because I was). I would pray for comfort and to be felt loved.

He never answered, I always felt alone. When I was twelve we were at church and I was listening to a sermon about how God is always there and we are never alone, he loves all of us and would never hurt us in any way. It was then I stopped believing, that very moment.
If God loved all his creations then why does he let things so horrible happen? Why would he have left me so alone when I was calling out to him?

I know that this sounds selfish and bitter, but all that I can know is how I feel, and what I went through. I am not angry, and I am definitely not bitter. But since I have come to the decision that God does not exist, I have found it easier to deal with the bad things that have come my way.

Everyone has their own ideas and beliefs about God and religion, no one agrees on every aspect of the divine, Just be tolerant and know that what you believe is what you believe, and let others believe what they believe.

A lot of people believe in a God,unfortunately some christians think that their religion alone is the only one,or at least the only correct one,so they shove it down everyone's throats, lest we all go to hell. I feel that those in the world whom have faith in any POSITIVE religion whether Christian or Bhuddist,etc.-all have the same capacity to love and have high moral standing. So my point is just because someone doesn't believe in YOUR god doesn't mean they don't believe in God nor does it make them any more bad or more wrong than you.

As our Society increases in technology and general science we are beginning to realize that the mathematical probability of random creation proves that we come from a planned creation.

Unfortunately the spin of todays society (the last 400 years) demands "Tangent" proof before believing. The demands on all to continue our existance and improve our race will eventually lead us all back to the truth and acceptance of God is simply acceptance of truth.

Are you asking this question to Christians who sill say "they have no faith," they don't want to see what's right in front of them," etc. or are you honestly asking this to gain insight from an atheist or agnostic person?

I am agnostic because I cannot find valid proof that God/god exists. I don't want to pretend or go on "faith" alone because I don't think that's fair. I live a very happy and fulfilling life and I see wonderful and beautiful things in my life and this world on a daily basis. I take time and appreciate them for what they are.

Everybody believes in some god...even though it might not be the True God. Many people believe that they themselves are a god and they believe in that.

It's an old problem that'll always be around.

The key word is believe. To believe in something is not the same as knowing for a fact. people like facts. Religion is philosophy, philosophers make arguements the same way they might a statement of fact but htey are still theories. we do not know the truth but we are in search.

Its hard to believe in God because its impossible to prove he is real, and impossible to prove that he does wonderful things (both things you think as truth)

To a lot of peopl, he does a lot of HORRIBLE things, like letting those thousands of children die in that tsunami, or worse yet, letting them be orphaned because of it.

According to christians, God would not let them into heaven because they don't believe in Him.

things like that make it hard to believe in God.

but who knows??

what i DO know, is that nothing about God can be proven....no matter what you say...there IS NO proof...only faith, one way or another.

The reason a lot of people don't believe in God is because it requires faith. Faith is not something you can give a person, they must possess it. Non-believers have no faith in God.
