If my lawyer negotiates an out of court settlement with the defendant, and receives a check for $1000. How do I know that he has received any money? What stops him from pocketing the cash? Or lyuing about the received amount?

As with everything Dubya has done, there are a lot of gray areas (hell, it's ALL gray area), but the ECONOMY!!?? I actually had someone tell me that we are actaully better off economically with Bush than we are with Clinton. This person is a moron. So, please conservatives, just admit that, everything else aside. our economy is terrible. And we know where to place the blame.

I voted for this idiot who has taken us to War, not understanding that regions beliefs and history. We will see many deaths and attrocities that the circumstances and pressures the boys are placed under will commit. The sad part of this is that the individual soldier will suffer the consequences when the top people will profess something stupid about a few rotten apples, when in fact anyone placed in the conditions these kids are placed could commit horrible things they would never have done under any other circumstances. Telling the kids that "men are dying and we need them to confess" is just the type of pressure that can cause otherwise nice young men & women to commit horrible acts against others. How can it be stopped?

Do you think, since Europeans are so concerned about the Gitmo
prisoners, and they offer no real logical alternative to what to do with them should we put them on a plane, fly them to Europe and
turn them loose and tell them " these guys like you, so here you go.
have a nice life"

Is there any one aspect of the immigration issue that you would consider to be more important than any other? If so, what is it?

Eff 7/1/06 every person receiving any form of Medicaid will have to prove identity and citizenship before benefits can be approved. If you can't produce proof you are basically SOL. The policy DOES NOT affect 3 day emergency Medicaid available to undocumented persons living in the US. How did this piggyback through on the Federal Budget Deficit Act without detection, or does the general population not care??!!

I certenly don't like McCain and I don't think Jeb Bush would stand a chance because too many people would cry Dynasty. I have alway been a fan of Steve Forbes but I'm not sure he would be able to campaign well enough. Does anyone have any good ideas?

You really think growing up in a group home, or state run facility would be better for those poor kids? I think it's just that people are always afraid of what they can't understand.

BTW, My best friend is gay, and my wife and I have decided that if anything was to happen to us, he and his husband are to get our children.

One more thing: If anyone answers "Because there are plenty of straight families out there" then you are wrong. there are too many orphans out there, and the fact that there is a movement to keep these kids from getting a decent home because of personal prejudice kinda pisses me off.

Bush's economic policies have made our economy better than it was in the nineties. This is in terms of job security, decreasing unemployment rates, and rising stock prices.

Okay so the guy had a problem with the barn door staying closed.
But aside from his personal follies, which just happened to be in the public eye, what did you think of his presidency and why?

I've already submitted a complaint, served it successfully, appeared in court for several motions and pleadings, etc. Now, the other party want to have my case dismissed based on my not stating a sufficient claim, motion for more definitive statement, etc. I need a lawyer to help me continue this case and get it to trial. I really cant afford to spend lots of money, Pro Bono or on contingency would be best for me. Can someone give me any good ideas or refer me to the right place? Thanks

Looks like us straight folk have blown it. The divorce rate is over %50. Why not give gays a shot? So isn't this really a religious issue, when you get right down to it? And if it is, shouldn't it stay the hell out of our courts? Seperation of church and state, remember?

Do you not support the War on Terror because your are relativists? Meaning: you believe that no culture is in a position to judge another culture because there is no ultimate truth in this world, everyone has there own truth. Please respond. Thanks.
