I asked if legalizing immigration was the answer to peace for all of us. OK you have to know I was getting at amnesty and that it was a leading question. No I don't want to let anyone in, no I don't want to give amnesty. I believe in our Law and any of you who have read my posts and answers should know that. I know there's always been conflict and I also know that there's peace as well. but...........I also see that no matter what is decided on this issue, there's going to be millions of people pissed off, not just a few. And this is a life and death issue for all of us no matter what side of the fence you're speaking from. It very well could start a Civil War. I don't know about the rest of you but that scares the hell out of me. I want the illegals out, I want our country back and I want our Law upheld. I will deal with the repurcussions, fight if I have to. Will the rest of you who are against illegal immigration be willing as well?

Does this mean that for 100 years after they are dead their body is still in the prison? I dont understand why they cant just say "you will be in prison until you die" instead of " i hearby sentence you to 2 consecutive life terms in prison"

Before anybody goes off the deep end defending him, please keep in mind that Mike Moore said ...

"The Iraqis who have risen up against the occupation are not 'insurgents' or 'terrorists' or 'The Enemy.' They are the REVOLUTION, the Minutemen, and their numbers will grow -- and they will win"

That's a directly anti-American quote. I'm confused as to why liberals and Democrats support a person like this. Why do they?

I know a lot of people saw that stupid movie of his, and a lot of them actually believed it was all true, but still ... it's a little hard to take people like that seriously. Agree?

Remember that Mike Moore is the one who said ...

"I would like to apologize for referring to George W. Bush as a 'deserter.' What I meant to say is that George W. Bush is a deserter, an election thief, a drunk driver, a WMD liar, and a functional illiterate. And he poops his pants."

Yah ... let's take that guy seriously. The guy with the "poops his pants" quote. Great stuff.

You watch Alan Colmes on TV and you can disagree with him but at least respect him. Ed Schultz too. Michael Moore? Are you guys kidding with your "support" of a guy like that?

The Tenth commandment says:

Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's
house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's
wife, nor his manservant, nor his
maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ***, nor
any thing that is thy neighbour's.

True Jesus preaches to help and feed the poor but can someone please give me a reference of where the Bible states that one can commit a crime or steal (8th commandment) because they're seeking a better life?

I'm truly interested in understanding where this logic is coming from. Please refrain from opinions this board if full of them. Just send me the religious reference that I can read that justifies the actions of illegal immigrants breaking laws and stealing (SSNs) is justified because they're poor.

When she makes comments about tax policy like this ...

"Many of you are well enough off that...the tax cuts may have helped you. We're saying that for America to get back on track, we're probably going to cut that short and not give it to you. We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good"

The very idea that en elected official would make a statement about taxes that says "we're going to take things away from you" is scary as hell. It shows she's completely out of touch with the idea that the money is mine and not the governments.

And it's even more frightening that an elected official thinks the government can better take care of me with my money than I can. They can't pave roads and they want MORE of my money. Scary.

I'd like a politician that has enough respect for us that they'd be quicker to eliminate government than to increase it. Another Reagan would be GREAT.

What do you think?

In a question about the nomination of Harriet Miers nomination to the U.S. Supreme Court, Dean said ...

"But in the this case, I think with a lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court, you can't play, you know, hide the salami, or whatever it's called."

Whatever. Don't you think the Democrats could find somebody to lead the party who can frame a thought better than this?

Shouldn't mangling public speeking be reserved for Presidents?

Five US Marines in Iraq to supposedly "liberate" the country notice a pretty young Iraqi woman on their regular patrols, in the town of Mahmoudiyah. One day, when they have the opportunity, they decide to rape this woman. So they do it. They brutally gang rape her in her own home. They then murder her and her entire family, including her husband and young child, before burning her body. And then they carry on with their patrol.

This is the latest atrocity committed by US troops in Iraq. Is the US uniquely evil? Is there something unique about the US culture that can breed such sadistically sick and cruel men? Or is evil equally distributed between the US and other groups and nations?

My parents were married for 10 years, my mother divorced him and kept the 2,000 square foot house. I remained living with my mother. I was 10 when they divorced.

My dad moved out and used his money from the divorce settlement to buy a small condo and I moved in with him when I was 16.

My mother sold her house to move upstate alone and had no place to live while looking for a new house. My father invited her to live with us for two weeks. During this time my father died suddenly from immune system failure.

My mother remained living in my dad's condo since I was underaged. She kept the money from her sold house in the bank and paid the $500 mortgage fee for my dad's condo till I was 18.

She was appointed administrator of my father's estate since I was the only child and he did not have a will. She went behind my back and drug out probate and demanded the estate pay her for loss of equity since she never bought a new home and lived in the condo instead.

When a person is placed under arrest, and read their miranda rights, is the first thing they are told, you have the right to remain silent?
If you confess after that point, how can your confession be thrown out? If you are so stupid to keep talking, shouldn't your confession be heard in court. Isn't it more criminal for a judge to throw out a confession of somebody like that Couey creep who killed that little girl Jessica. Why don't they let him go free and I'll execute the bastard myself.

Kick them out........Let them in.........Kick them out.......Let them in.......I've participated in this discussion for awhile now and have come to realize that we are a country torn over what is right and what is wrong. For myself and many discussing this the truth is clear............It's simply illegal. Many accuse of us hypocrisy...cold hearted....forgot where we came from....etc. We're American people arguing amongst ourselves. Where do we find peace? I'm scared to think where this issue is taking this country.

I'm a Canadian citizen and would like to visit the US as a tourist, most likely by car. I've heard that I have to state how long I will be visiting, but if I change my mind after entering and would like to stay longer (stay another week, for example, for a total of 2 weeks), then do I have to notify the border authorities (or fill out a form)?
