Now that Bush has gotten this country into this seemingly unending quagmire (see the history of the middle east-the warring never ends), I am afraid that "cut and Run" may not be the best option....yes it will make America look bad, weak, defeated in the eyes of the world (thank you Bush), but worse, I feel it will give the insurgents and terrorist cells everywhere the idea that they are the victors, this will only strengthen their resolve....If they can keep the worlds strongest military at bay....the skies the limit....know what I mean? I wish there were an easy solution, however, now that we ARE there...I feel it might be necessary to re-strategize somehow, perhaps even a greater surge of troops, one big enormous assault, no holds barred....I don't know....but pulling completely out may not be the best thing. I would at least try the diplomatic approach with all these western European countries that have more to lose in the long run than does America....much greater troop support from Germany, England, France, Italy,Spain etc. whether for oil or to fight terrorism, or WMD...It is pertinent that Europe stop being so DAMN wimpy and fight for the safety of their own people and their own borders! An extremely difficult question to answer indeed! But, since I'm no military strategist...that's the best I got for you.....By the way, i'm a liberal!

We can't exit Iraq right now. We are the stregnth behind any goverment they may be forming. I'm very sceptical of the political spin on this military action. When the Adminstration talks I'm very leery of what they say. It was a misguided idea from the beginning and sadly to leave would be to heap one more bad decesion on top of serveral others. I think we'll be there for along time and I have serious doubts we'll achieve the liberation of these people.

No, as much as I hate to admit it we can't leave now. I was never for this war beacause you could see the lies right from the beginning, but it's got to get better there before we can go. If we leave now it will get so bad that it will become a monster that will be out of control and that will filter into the entire region.

I hate to say we have to stay a bit more, especially when i see our poor kids dying for people who mostly hate us, but it's either pay now or pay later and later will cost alot more.

George Bush has soooo much blood on his hands.

What would pulling the plug mean? Of course it means withdrawing our troops and bringing them home. I guess thats a feasible answer....if we brought them home now we could train them to clean up after the next 9/11 that will occur when al queda grows back and manages to hit us again.

We need to set a date and turn over security to the Iraqis. If successfull then we should get out.

Right now we have given the Iraqis a blank check that is eating the US.

No, of course not. Although I would not have preferred to go in the way we did, we are there and we should finish the job and help them get on their feet. A democracy in that region could have an amazing long term effects.

Of course not. We went there for a reason, something else has developed, and we need to stay there until their government is up and operating effectively.

Why do all the liberals outwardly have so much compassion for all living things until it's unpleasant for them? I just don't get it, it just screams selective life value, only as long as it's convenient to them.

Not at all. Why stop at Iraq as there are a lot of other countries that begin with ' I ', like Iran, India, Indonesia, Ireland.........
