Before anybody goes off the deep end defending him, please keep in mind that Mike Moore said ...

"The Iraqis who have risen up against the occupation are not 'insurgents' or 'terrorists' or 'The Enemy.' They are the REVOLUTION, the Minutemen, and their numbers will grow -- and they will win"

That's a directly anti-American quote. I'm confused as to why liberals and Democrats support a person like this. Why do they?

They support him because there are actually people, even inside the U.S., who unfortunately believe in it. It's propaganda for the Democrats and for the upcoming elections in November 2006.

Yes, I think he's an "anti-American loser". He resents the American economy because his father was laid off from a General Motors factory in Michigan which was outsourced. That's one of the motives why he detests the U.S. and capitalism.

ah the old michael moore to rally the base routine...fun, i guess.

Is he anti-american, that is opinion not fact.

is his defintion of who we are fighting anti american...
really? is the definition of insurgent valid in Iraq, are the participants in the burgoning civil war terrorist even if they have no relation to Al Queda, are the participants of the Iraq civil war and power grab fighting amongst themselves or the US?

is defining terms un american?

is it wrong to make a comparision between Iraqi's as a occupied county and the colonies under britian....it might be a bad comprison but is it un-american to compare or contrast?

if you said that the vietinamese would fight to the last man and we could never win, is that being realistic or un-american, what if a US general said it, or a republican politicain....

Will people fighting to kick other people out of thier country........lose?

If anti american can be anything you disagree with so....sure. why not.

The Iraqis who have risen up against the occupation are not "insurgents" or "terrorists" or "The Enemy." They are the REVOLUTION, the Minutemen, and their numbers will grow -- and they will win. Get it, Mr. Bush? You closed down a friggin' weekly newspaper, you great giver of freedom and democracy! Then all hell broke loose. The paper only had 10,000 readers! Why are you smirking?

One year after we wiped the face of the Saddam statue with our American flag before yanking him down, it is now too dangerous for a single media person to go to that square in Baghdad and file a report on the wonderful one-year anniversary celebration. Of course, there is no celebration, and those brave blow-dried "embeds" can't even leave the safety of the fort in downtown Baghdad. They never actually SEE what is taking place across Iraq (most of the pictures we see on TV are shot by Arab media and some Europeans). When you watch a report "from Iraq" what you are getting is the press release handed out by the U.S. occupation force and repeated to you as "news."

I currently have two cameramen/reporters doing work for me in Iraq for my movie (unbeknownst to the Army). They are talking to soldiers and gathering the true sentiment about what is really going on. They Fed Ex the footage back to me each week. That's right, Fed Ex. Who said we haven't brought freedom to Iraq! The funniest story my guys tell me is how when they fly into Baghdad, they don't have to show a passport or go through immigration. Why not? Because they have not traveled from a foreign country -- they're coming from America TO America, a place that is ours, a new American territory called Iraq.

There is a lot of talk amongst Bush's opponents that we should turn this war over to the United Nations. Why should the other countries of this world, countries who tried to talk us out of this folly, now have to clean up our mess? I oppose the U.N. or anyone else risking the lives of their citizens to extract us from our debacle. I'm sorry, but the majority of Americans supported this war once it began and, sadly, that majority must now sacrifice their children until enough blood has been let that maybe -- just maybe -- God and the Iraqi people will forgive us in the end.

Because he is a god to the Liberals and guess what Criminals like Sex Offenders are gods to them too (including Bill Clinton who was a Sex Offender himself).

You are right it is an Anti-American quote, it is often said that Michael Moore is Un-American, he's obviously not British, he must be French.

Michael Moore doesn't care for the troops at all, any money he made from Fahrenheit 9/11 that could have gone to wounded soldiers was prolly spent on some French Wine instead.

Well I don't see how Michael Moore could be anti-American when you consider this: How could he hate something that has given him so much. Why is Michael Moore such a known person anyway. What is a native of the town of little Flint, Mich (which was completely destroyed by American corporations wast it?) doing in the spotlight? Honestly, without America, and all of the "problems" we have, he would have nothing to talk about and make money off of. All of the "documentaries" (that means it has to be true, right?)about different aspects of America he has made would not exist. Who cares if he stretches (or ignores completely) the truth sometimes for the sake of his ideas. Besides, people go the to movies to be entertained don't they?

You do realize it's been almost 2 years since anyone's heard from or talked about Michael Moore, right?

I believe we have more pressing issues to talk about, like the fact that so much money has been allocated to Iraq, military bases can't afford to pay their utility bills.

Michael Moore, while right on some things, is old news. Move on.

No, Jimmy Carter did. Michael Moore has basically geared up on his legacy via coming up propaganda action pictures that have been so thoroughly debunked that in the process basic terms thoroughly ignorant and illiterate human beings could extremely have faith a be conscious he says. regrettably we live in an afternoon and age the place human beings refuse to extremely think of for themselves. in any different case Michael Moore could be flipping burgers extremely than stuffing his face with them.

No. Being an American means questioning our government and seeking out the truth. He is only predicting what will likely happen... we will probably get retaliation from Iraq some day for what we've done. I don't blame them. You would do the same if the U.S. was occupied by another country without your permission and this other country was killing innocent U.S. citizens, even if their intention was not to kill innocents.

It's not far-fetched, it's exactly what we're doing in Iraq. We are supposedly trying to "free" them, but everyone seems to forget we've killed tens of thousands of innocent people while trying to "free" them.

"To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public." -Teddy Roosevelt

Michael Moore may be taking advantage of a sensitive situation, but he's right. In their own country, they are heroes, and they have a lot more staked on this war. It's not anti-American; it's anti-war.

Treason, he should be prosecuted for committing treason! Yes I believe he is an anti-American loser. He has a book called big fat white men and he is a big fat white man. I find that ironic and funny. All he does is bash America and its politics. If he doesn't like it leave! I would like to see him run the nation for one day and while he is at it why doesn't he give every expected terrorist citizenship and a complimentary gun.

I disagree with you I do not believe accepting hatred for others and labels assigned to them, and being manipulated by a media frenzy of fear and hatred are American, nor do I believe that critically thinkinng for oneself and encouraging others to do the same is AntiAmerican, indeed my friend you need to go back and read the constitution, bill of rights and declaration of independence, your founding forefathers would disagree with you and find your statements anti American or you think they are subversive by the standards you judge micheal moore
