Is there any one aspect of the immigration issue that you would consider to be more important than any other? If so, what is it?

That the Congress is now wanting to give amnesty to all these people. I think there is a hidden agenda there and I think it will undermine the present midleclass. I live in AZ and see the jobs construction jobs these persons are taking that most of us couldn't live on. Now there is a push for minority small business owners, painters, stucco, roofing etc looking for bilingual persons to run crews of these people putting many of us oit of work.

We at numbersusa.com have the best possible solution to the immigration problem. the two things that are our biggest concerns with these things becoming law, are the idiots in the Senate and the news media. The House of Representatives are almost all behind our idea and passed a bill reflecting that. The Senate wants to give amnesty to 12,000,000 illegal aliens and bring 60,000,000 more guest workers into this country over the next 20 years. The news media refuses to send out our message to the masses because they are all Democrats. Luckily, The house believes in our idea so strongly that they are refusing to compromise with the Senate and have tied them up in legalities. it is an ongoing battle. We can use all the help we can get. Visit numbersusa.com

I feel that the worse situation is that it is not regulated equally or really at all. Here is why I say this. I got married oversees in a country once under Russian rule. When I married I swore that I was never married before, got papers from the US embassy and then was able to be married in 48 hours and my husband was able to come to the US immediately. No wait, no questions no nothing. After being married for two years he became abusive and I divorced. To my horror he became an American citizen. Why my horror, because I had just began working helping immigrants become US citizens and knew the law stated that if a husband doesn't pay child support or there has be abuse the spouse should be notified before citizenship can be granted. I had never been notified, and never has he paid child support and on top of it all he had someone else pose as me to get such citizenship. I brought this situation to the head of Immigration and Naturalization and it fell on deaf ears, they did nothing, couldn't care less. So if the powers to be can't even follow their own laws and enforce what has been law laid out, when it effects children and others. I ask why do they make such a big deal over those who are working caring family members trying to give their families a better life and they are denied any rights for they are not legally here. I don't think my ex is legally here, he now has his citizenship, no one looked to find out that all that he did and signed was false. Our immigration offices need to be reformed and if laws state this than enforce what they say. What exists is people who pick and choose who can come and who cannot, it's like playing God, you can come into the US, you can't. There is no structure in which they follow, or if there is those who should be overseeing such procedures just look the other way.

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO TALK OF AMNESTY THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR YEARS AND YEARS. EVERY SO MANY YEARS THE US HAS GIVEN AMNESTY TO CERTAIN AREAS, FOR INSTANCE ANYONE FROM MEXICO, OR AFRICA, OR RUSSIA, ETC, IF PEOPLE CAN PROVE THEY LIVED HERE FOR FIVE YEARS WORKING THEY HAVE BEEN ABLE TO GET AMNESTY WHEN THEIR COUNTRY CAME UP FOR AMNESTY, THIS IS NOT A NEW THING IT HAS EXISTED FOR A LONG LONG TIME. I CAN SAY THIS BECAUSE I WAS SOMEONE WHO WAS HIRED TO HELP DURING THESE PERIODS WHEN AMNESTY WAS OPEN TO PEOPLE WHOM LIVED IN THE US ILLEGALLY FOR OVER FIVE YEARS.

The most important part is the illegal immigration. Every country wants to control and have information about who enters their country. People can commit crimes in their country of origin and flee illegally into another. Also, it is unfair to those who go through legal channels to immigrate and possibly become citizens of that country. These two issues concern me the most.

Population and Land control--we have too many now. We could not feed everyone here if we had to grow it. Land--I still want open areas to a good enough extent that we have abundant of wildlife. Water -more droughts now (look at Florida's and California big fires--if we had to it would be very hard to supply water-we couldn't do it than without causing a problem elsewhere.

Ecomey-it is hurting-what programs will we cut. More people means you will have many More poor living here. Do we cut SS SSD Schools, security (police fire rescue), medical ect? Should we cut more from our poor? Is the Government going to take the cut?

Adding more people is not helping--our country needs a rest to recuperate.

The fact that American need all aliens to do the dirty work, be guinea pigs for dangerous drugs and spend all their money in junk for their business to prosper. That's called "Foreign Policy". They should not have any more rights than finish their job serving burgers and go home behind the border. Aliens, from any country are also human beings trying to make their dreams come true just like you and me; they're not just marketing targets and immigration nuissances.

Just the part that they are here "illegally" , are costing American taxpayers BILLIONS of dollars, put a huge strain on our social services and welfare departments, many don't speak English.
Have no rights, but demand equal treatment. Just to be fair about it, why don't illegal immigrants migrate here LEGALLY, unless they have something to hide??? Get in line an come here legally, then you have nothing to hide, and America will welcome you with open arms. Thats fair, right??

Illegal immigration just causes problems in multiple areas, including national security and identity theft. Any and all illegals need to be rounded up and deported. Anything that they possess in the country should be automatically forfeited since they weren't here legally.

DEPORT ILLEGAL ALIENS

ENGLISH ONLY IN AMERICA

The open border, no security, the illegal aliens here could stay, ( the ones not doing felony anyway) Most are nice hard working people. But we have to secure the US.
