Too late to stop another 'super' power...they've achieved deterrence.....ie, the ability to defend itself through nuclear deterrence. Since they are not committed to a policy of national suicide, don't look for them to initiate any preemptive strikes. Their threat is entirely economic, soon they will be taking over the world markets...just watch.

One...its too damn late the Chinese already had nukes since um... the 1950s. Two the damn Americans are too attached to them economically. The USA can destroy the Chinese cause the PLA's capabilities are not as good (but way better than the Europeans combined i may add) but the US would lose its biggest supplier of cheap crap. Three...costs too many people cause with the 10000 or so long-range nukes that the USA fields the Chinese will suffer hundreds of millions of dead at best while the US at worse suffers tens of millions of dead (they only have 100 something nukes that can hit the USA directly now + 400 which can only reach Japan...not exactly enough to kill the whole USA).

#1--we make too much money from china to risk their wrath.
#2--do the math---less than 3 hundred million people versus 3.1 billion people--they could lose 5 people for every 1 we lost and not blink an eyelash.

They haven't sworn to destroy anyone, like some other nations we won't mention... USA and China are very strong economic partners, and as of late, finding a good social common ground.

Because that is where 99% of Wal-Mart products are being made. And what American could live without Wal-Mart? More people visit Walmart everyday than any House of Prayer or house of education....NOT somthing to be proud of

Because they're reasonable and not lunatics like North Korea and Iran. China knows that its not a terrorist nation and, because it wants to expand its economy, its not going to push us on nukes.
