As the only nation in the world to have used it against another nation, is America paranoid that it might happen here, with all the repercussions that it will entail?

The nay-sayers are wrong. The reality is the Minutemen are here to stay, and this mission will be completed. In April of 2005, over 800 volunteer men and women took action to secure the border. This year there are more than 200,000 Minuteman Civil Defense Corps activists not only guarding the border but building fence, faxing our elected representatives, making phone calls, voting open border politicians out of office, starting local chapters and contributing their time, money and expertise. MCDC is an explosive grassroots effort enjoying the energetic support of political

And now even many more have joined since this count-closer to 500,000

Well now, what a rise in a short time. And they are working with other groups all law abiding. Don't you wonder why all these people are volunteering?

This is really bugging me, I really don't really understand how this all got started. Why do they keep it up? Why don't they stop? What is hurting us so badly about it? Where are they trying to go with this? What is the main point? And do you think they should keep it up? Why? Do you think they will keep it going? Why? Where do you think it will be in the next five years? Why? I'm really flustered about this whole thing, so if anyone, and everyone... Please help! I would like your input.
Thanks

Americans have apologized to the world, sent billions and billions to help other countries, saved nations from mass-murdering dictatorships, and created a nation that illegals are flooding into. It is time to take a hard stand, draw a line in the sand, quit apologizing.

I am sick and tired of the critism from people who have their hands out, who take our money, who take our medical help, educational assistance and bad-mouth us.

It's time to tell those who use and abuse us to get off this free train and do it themselves. It's time for the illegals to pack up and go home, and take their sympathizing friends with them.

What 'pet peeve' would you change:

I would get rid of the beret and go back to the patrol cap (maybe keep the beret for Class A's.

Get rid of the requirement that everybody sing the 'Army Song.' (Most soldiers could not carry a tune with a forklift.)

Move the rank insignia on the ACUs back to the collars (thus avoiding many 'sexual harrassmant' complaints caused by soldiers trying to see what her rank is.)

Ban completely the subdued version of the 1st Infantry Division patch.

Make the Stetson authorized headgear for any soldier performing a 'cavalry' mission.

Well those are my personal 'pet peeves' - what are yours?

Phelps has failed in numerous Democratic primary elections for governor of the overwhelmingly Republican state of Kansas, in 1990, 1994, and the last time in 1998, when he came in second with 15,000 votes out of a total of over 103,000 votes cast, or 15%.[27]

It can't just be racism against hispanics in general, since Cubans have been welcomed for decades, and have added so much culture and diversity to South Florida.

So why all the fuss towards Mexican people?

GOP sees a San Diego message: Be tough on illegal immigration

I can't paste it all here, but I would think we are being noticed, and should keep fighting harder, don't you?

"Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., and other supporters cited Bilbray's victory as a factor influencing House leaders' decision to suspend negotiations on the immigration bill while a series of town hall meetings on immigration are held across the country this summer. The House has made no secret of its disdain for the Bush-backed Senate version, which would allow many illegal immigrants to seek U.S. citizenship, and establishes a guest worker program.

"The political correctness bug has spread so blatantly -- and for so long -- that people are really fed up with the thought police," he said. "I think people are finally rising up and saying, 'You know, wrong is wrong, right is right, illegal is illegal.' "
