It seems like nowadays a politician can tell you that the moon is made of plastic and people will believe it without saying a word, is'nt it American to have a healthy suspicion of our government. After all, it's not like politicians never lied.

Bush ignores laws he inks, vexing Congress.

I guess my specific question is... Do we really need a loophole allowing torture? Go ahead and defend the commander in chief.

Believe it or not, some liberals are STILL claiming that 'Bush lied', and 'Bush faked intelligence reports..',, yada yada yada....

This is a question for the ones who still think that.

How do you explain these quotes and time frame of the quotes:

****1. "We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seing and developing weapons of mass destruction."
Sen. Ted Kennedy (D, MA), Sept. 27, 2002.

**** kennedy has known for YEARS, that would be before Bush was in office.

****2 "Hussein has ... chosen to spend his money on building weapons of mass destruction and palaces for his cronies."
Madeline Albright, Clinton Secretary of State, Nov. 10, 1999.

****This was before Bush was in office, and a year after Clinton Bombed Iraq.

After our troops come home, and they will come home, should the governmnet start to run on a policy of isolationism? Or is the World too small today for any country to be isolated?

Mimi something or other asked a question regarding whether we need illegals in this country. Basically saying Americans are hard working and we don't need cheap labor. I went in to answer and it had been pulled by Yahoo. I've seen some pretty awful questions and answers on here but this one was hardly against yahoo’s guidelines.
Why are some questions being censored and some are not?
Does not freedom of speech apply to the internet as well?
Is Yahoo playing big brother but not being fair which questions get the boot? I think I'm done with Yahoo, what do you think?

Why was it not stopped by the Founders of our country. They did write the constitution, didn't they? I am sure they understood what they meant.

There are a lot of people who say that your politics come from your age and your location. I want to see if this is true on Yahoo! Questions (I know, not scientific, but I'm curious). So, please tell me what your political party is (ie- republican, democrat, independent, socialist, libertarian, communist, etc), your age, and your location (ie- state). Also, I'm interested to know if your parents share your political affiliation. Thanks.
