After our troops come home, and they will come home, should the governmnet start to run on a policy of isolationism? Or is the World too small today for any country to be isolated?

No we should not; if we do al queda will recruit in Iraq, set up training camps, and eventually hit us again worse then they did in NY on 9/11.

Appeasement of the al queda network is only going to cause us great harm. They will wait, they are patient, and they will hurt us again - unless of course we keep them on the run and eventually give them no place to hide.

isolationism isnt a good idea, but neither is the way this war has been handled. even some of the ppl involved in the war (mostly the ones who have resigned or been let go) have said very plainly, that this war was not held for the reasons that have been given to the american public. think about it, we're forcing democracy on a country..... thats so oxymoronic, its just mind boggling. the whole idea of democracy is that a group of ppl can decide what they want for themselves, and we're not letting them do it for themselves...... we're making them do it that way....... wtf?

but isolationism isnt the way to go, the way to do things is to not try to run the world because jesus told you to do it while you were taking the longest presidential vacation in history.

It's far too late to be isolationists. We can't cut off all the aide we give to people and we have agreements with other countries that in case of war, we'll be dragged into it. So there's no way we can just turn away from the world.

No we should not give up! But we should go in with more power than we have. don't stop till we defeat them. keep the reporters the hell out of the battle area. if they report anything that has not been cleared by our military the reporter should be tried for treason. and if one soldier is killed because of something they report without permission the reporter should be exicuted for murder.

I don't recommend be an isolationist nation, but I do recommend we concentrate much more on home issues versus foreign policy issues.

I think we should definitely not be as involved. Not completely isolated though. But we need to help our own country for awhile.

USA should stick to domestic matters and let all other nations deal with their problems.
