NOPE. I do not agree that the USA is the absolutely greatest country in the world. The consulates can be considered as the window of any any country. The U.S consulate doesnt fit with the words nice and understanding.
There are nice and understanding citizens in every country and just as that there are many nice and understanding citizens in the USA too.

The girl ahead of me has it all wrong. Everytime there is a war there is controversy. People were like this except worse during the vietnam war. War doesn't make our country any more unpopular than it was when we were involved in wars before hand.

But yes I am very happy here in the U.S. Other than this I think that Britain is nice along with Australia. But i'm not really into the whole royalty thing.

I say if you don't like it here either leave or do something about it. Complaining does nothing.

I love this country. In the words of the Russian comic "Is this a great country or what" It is the greatest country in the world. If we did not have to protect every other country who can't defend themselves, then we could be kind sweethearts like Switzerland & Canada. Pacifist can afford to be kind, others take all the risks.

It was until bush became the dictator, i mean president but after he completes his reign it will be great again. after reading some answers want to make a point he not sayng the greatest country, he saying it with pride for the country there are many countries in the world that re great, England, Germany, Russia, Israel, Australia, Japan, India, the list can go one but thats just to name a few. Every has pride in their country except the ones who come to the us for a better life legally, so for one to say us is a great place, is the same for one to say Iraq or iran is a great place, its beig proud in ones country.

People thought it was great until the Iraq war, so that's why the majority of countries are pissed off at the US. I feel with a capable leader leading this country, things will get better. We just can't have a democrat and not a corrupt Republican.

i don't agree myself... around half of the world's population isn't respected there... I'm talking about people like Muslims and dark skinned people (i mean no offense), you should really do some history researches about the the very beginnings of the USA starting with the eradication of the Indians (the natives) up to the conflicts and wars of today

YES!!! I do think the USA is the greatest nation!!! We have a lot of flaws... but... we try.. sometimes. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.. and able to express their opinion (as long as it does not violate anyone elses rights or incite violence.)

I have been to many other countries... it made me appreciate the laws we have.

I think that its ideals are good, but I don't think that it is the "greatest."

I'm not so sure about its citizens being "nice and understanding"...I get flicked the bird on a regular basis when I'm driving and I haven't done anything wrong....
