I want to change my first name from Corie to Corianne. It's more feminine and professional. But my parents think if I change my name it will affect my credit, college transcripts, etc. They said it would be hard in the future to get a job or a loan because changing your first name makes you look suspicious. Is this true? I really want to go through with it but not if it's going to be a huge hassle.

The thing is...I was at the mall with a bunch of friends. And one of my friends stole something and gave it to some other friend we saw at the mall. I told her not to but....she never listens. So then we're at another store and are called intot he back room of that store where she stole the thing from. And we're like questioned and shown the camera footage. And I was accused too because I'm the one seen in the footage with her cuz I was by her. Of course I didn't wanna rat my friend out so we played innocent (even though i REALLY didn't do ne thing) and they had no real way to prove we had done it. So they let us off, took all our information down and we're not allowed in that store. Now I'm really ticked off cuz I dont want my record to be pulled up in the future by universities and employers and to see that i was involved in shoplifting when I had no part in it. If the police weren't called and they let us go.....will it hurt my record?

Let's say nation X has rebels that hate your nation. They have just purchased some nukes from the black market. They sneak one into a main city in your nation. Boom, millions dead. The country its from didn't order it, but it was done by a rebel faction. You ask for justice, but they say they have nothing to do with it, it's rebels. So you beef up security, and your nation lives in fear. But again, another city falls, millions more die. Again they say it's the rebels, not their problem. They won't fix the problem, and won't allow you to send troops in to get them. They are spread over the country anyways. The international community feels for you but says you shouldn't retalitate and possibly kill their innocent civilians. What would you do? (this is not a fight or no fight question, you can do anything.)

My fiance recently lost his pharmacy license due to substance abuse. I was unaware of his problem but we are working on helping him. He is going to Narcotics Anonymous meetings and outpatient rehab. He is almost fully recovered and wants to get back into the business as soon as he gets his license back. Under Ohio law he will be able to get his license back in a year. However, we are not sure if he can get it back a year from the date of suspension (January 2006) or a year from the date of his hearing before the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy which isn't until August. Would anyone know how soon he can get it back? The loss of income is really hurting us financially and he needs to get back to work as soon as possible.

DUBLIN, Calif. - Audra Schmierer's Social Security number really gets around. It has been used by at least ( 81 ) people in 17 states, most of them probably illegal immigrants trying to get work.

The federal government took years to discover the number was being used illegally, but authorities took little action even then.

"They knew what was happening but wouldn't do anything," said Schmierer, 33, a housewife in this affluent San Francisco suburb. "One name, one number, why can't they just match it up?"

Schmierer realized she had a problem in February 2005, when she got a statement from the IRS saying she owed $15,813 in back taxes — even though she had not worked since her son was born in 2000.

People used her Social Security number from Florida to Washington state, at construction sites, fast-food restaurants and even major high-tech companies. Some opened bank accounts using the number.
