Most Dems are against the war in Iraq but were for Clinton's decision to send troops to Kosovo. If you take WMD's out of the equation, Saddam was still committing genocide on the Kurdish population of Iraq with Chemical/Biolocial weapons. In Kosovo, Slobodan Milosovic was committing genocide. How can you have supported Clinton's decision to send troops to Kosovo to stop genocide but then say that without the presence of WMD's we had no reason to send troops into Iraq? Please explain why it was OK in one instance and not in another?

It seems like national democrats like Nancy Pelosi know more about the French or the Germans than they do folks in Tuscaloosa, Hattiesburg, or Lexington. What do you think?

If an illegal Immigrant is working as a documented citizen that means that they have stolen someone else's livelihood, and most of them don't pay the taxes, they just let them build up until the IRS goes after the person who's identity was stolen.
Believe me, I know it for a fact. My husband and I are still fighting not to pay the back taxes owed by two of the illegals working under his name, out of the four that we know about.
They don't pay the taxes, and they expect Americans to do it for them.

the only difference is with a dictator you have one crook and with so called democracy you have a nest of them. just take canada for example how much of the tax payers money bin robbed by most of our fromer prime minsters and there cronies. and if you dis agree with our goverment then you need n fight unles you have plenty of money because they will keep you in court or what ever till the money and fight go out of you. the high ranking polition have an open check. you can't fight the system the only dictictors we here about are the ones the usa wants someting from or they need to protct there home land. were victims of usa propaganda , there not hero s they use the news to make excuse why there there no cause they care about ordinary iraq's but fer americas oil needs.

believe me im not for sadim usain or things he done but look at the news, kids blown to peaces and that not so dad as what was happening before, im tired of the usa flexing there musles and all other countries involv

Can there really ever be justice on stolen land? Does the hypocrisy of the way in which America was established (i.e. on slavery and the theft and murder of Native American land and people) negate the legal system and the concept of liberty and justice for all?

The retirement plan for politicians is absurd. It's no wonder S.S. is so crippled, the politicians have no motivation to fix it, they thought it was good idea to have their own, with built-in automatic raises for inflation, not to mention their spouses are compensated as well. If this doesn't make you mad as hell, then I guess you drank the Kool-Aid too!!

Since grade school, I've learn about the different types of war solders fought over the millennium, cold war, vietnam, WW1 and 2 etc. So what is this? Are we going to keep figthing for the same reason PEACE!, which I understand is never going to happen. So why keep fighting? So many people die, and many more will contiue to die, if this war carry on any longer. Personally I'm sick of it.

People from all over the world migrate to US because of the impression that it is THE land to live in. People living here are tired of all the issues: extreem liberalism and conservatism (is that a word?), political process dominated by lobbyists, trial attornies and special interests, crime, drugs, welfare system, illigal immigration, poor healthcare dilivery...
Of course US is better than all non-democratic countries, all democratic countries with political instability and all politically stable Democratic countries with extreem liberal or conservative bias!
Is there a perfect country out there which does not have to be at war all the time, can control illegal immigrants, gives every one eccess to healthcare and education without government bureaucracy ruining them, has the right balance of gun control, civil liberties, and environmental record, where poeple don't have to live ridden with guilt for the deeds of generations past and are free o speak, live and worship as they wish?

I ask this because I hear or read Bush supporters say that we should look at the positives of his presidency and stop racking over the negatives. Well.. I understand that argumenat, and I am not a pessamistic person in any extent, but I believe every person does some good but when they do so much more wrong, that truly means we need to get them out of office. He is the MOST powerful person in the MOST powerful country in the world. His bad judgements cannot be taken so lightly. We ware slaughtering innocent people in Iraq by the thousands every week! Just for their oil. Thats right, so Exxon can get paid back for all the campaign funds they gave to Bush. Thats what I call: Blood for Oil. This is NOT patriotic. This is NOT how our four fathers wanted America to become.

That is my opinion, what is yours?

I have discovered that Americans do not like to acknowledge that there are many poor Americans in our country.
Illegal Immigrants that add to the poverty are allowed to be poor.
However, the American labor force has been forced to work for crap wages because of Illegal Immigrants, and for the 12 million Illegal Immigrants there is at least that many hard working Americans in this country starving.
I would just like to know why, and should I become an illegal in America so that I can reap the benefits they do?

Since when did America become the country that hates competition. Mexicans come and take jobs no one with a diploma will do for cheaper and with longer hours. This leads to lower prices, lower inflation, and greater economic efficiency. They don't get welfare, but spend on American companies and pay sales taxes. White people's (I'm White btw) fear of being overrun by brown people is really at the heart of this whole uproar. Thats all I wanted to say. Read a book.
