As long as mankind is around there will be wars. If you are sick of it, lock yourself in a closet and don't come out.

Whether you know it or not, the US has barely had a year of not being at war. What most people don't know or understand are the various levels of war. We are still at war with North Korea. Right now we have an armistice, which simply means, time-out. We now use diplomacy to try to keep them from attacking again, but at any time for any reason, either side could attack. We are in similar situations in a number of other areas of the world.
Mankind is destined to destroy itself... peace will come, but it will be short lived because of our selfish nature. Don't lock yourself away. Just be glad you live in a super power with friendly countries surrounding us.

war sucks, people die, families are destroyed, but its life, and yes, we were destined to destroy each other, and we are all going to blow each other up eventually, or, we are going to invent something amazing that will clean the earth and restore peace in the world. And then there is going to be something that we're dependent on and then it will be taken away and then the peace will crumble and we will all fight to survive and in a desperate attempt to end all suffering someone will use a super-weapon that will destroy all human life and then we will have to evolve from cockroaches again. So now you've got something to look forward to, but it definately wont be in our lifetime, or our great-great-great-great-great-great grandkids time either, sometime after that.

No, the exact opposite, mankind is destined to accumulate enough knowledge to advance the species to higher levels, but it's going to be a very long process via the greed that weakens mankind.

One great Indian leader ( possibly Mahatma Ghandi ) once says: "There is enough in this world 4 everyone's need , but not enough 4 anyones greed.". It is D greed that leads people 2 fight against each other. There ar leaders who ar power crazy, economy crazy, land crazy & even women crazy! Go back 2 history lol.

it does seem that it is the case...there is in man the ability to love and hate...hate is alot easier...takes no effort and we can always find excuses to do so..we like to dominant others, we are a jealous people..want what others have....love on the other hand...makes us humble...fills us with compassion and understanding...i think love makes us stronger.....it takes effort to love.. it shows to others a side that could be mistaken for weakness....there are only a handful of people that can live with both emotions..and see the situation for what it really is.....to be aware of both emotions...and accept them in a way to benefit mankind is rare.....mankind has always wanted what the other has...and it will continue until man can figure it out...or...until we blow the world up...and we could...or God gives up on us and says..."that's it...i am through, think next time...i am sticking with just the plants and animals.."....LOL

I don't think mankind is "destined" for anything -- what we do as a species is entirely up to us.
People fight over land, money, oil, religion (not necessarily in that order)...and anything else they feel strongly about. That they feel the need to kill other humans over ANYTHING is repugnant to me, that they do it over silly religious beliefs or a piece of desert is just plain stupid.

Every since Cain killed Able people have been killing each other. It's not gonna stop just cuz we get sick of it. I doubt we will destroy each other. Unless some crazy ruler was in power. and pushed the buttons. even that wouldn't kill everyone.
