They are all different. For your knowledge though. If you have read popular science there is a new torp in development & testing.

It can travel at SUPERSONIC speeds UNDERWATER. How is this possible? Well the tip of the torp is the only portion to touch water (huh)? Well the very point bursts through the water and just behind it gases are emitted.

The gas forms an outter shell to say a bubble so it does not explode just by a water drop at that speed. Once realeased from a mile away (yeah longer distance too) it will be on its target in seconds.

It is tethered to be guided for 1000 ft Programming. The torpedo can be set to explode within a given range at about 30 kts. Mark 46 torpedo only.

This of course is classified info but a american mk 46 torp has a speed of 70+ knts and can dive below 1000 ft. By the way it wont explode it'll implode- as in be crushed.

According to Physics Fact book, the new torpedo's travel at 230 MPH & range of 7500 yds or until it hits something - whatever comes first.

it depends if its a standard torpedo it goes about 240 and since the torpedo is guided by and traking laser it can g as far as 1200ft

Depth is not relevant a torpedo has to make contact.
they have gone mach1.
