The Supreme Court ruled that evidence found during a "no-knock" search of a home can be used in court. Here is what I am wondering, if the authorities enter somebodies home without announcing their presence, what happens if the person shoots at them? Isn't that self-defense?

The supreme court just ruled that the police no longer have to knock on your door if they have a warrant for your arrest. They can basically just come and kick the door in.
Let's say the police have probable cause and get a warrant for someone's arrest. So they come and kick the door in which freaks out the occupant who then grabs his shotgun and blows the cop away. Let's also say that it turns out that the probable cause was in error, that the occupant of the house did no wrong, or there was a case of mistaken identity. Or, maybe it was the guy's oldest son, who had nothing to do with any illegal activities.
Does the occupant/shooter get in big trouble for now killing a cop? He does have the right to bear arms and protect his property. It seems to me that the police would be protecting themselves in a sense by knocking on the door.
I know this is an unlikely scenario and the police probably aren't going to go on a door bashing spree. But there's always plenty of what if?

I have 2 individuals who need assistance. I can only give money to 1 individual. One individual is an American citizen and one is an illegal alien. I can only give money to ONE person, so which should I give it to? (NO CHANGING THE QUESTION OR ADDING TO IT!!!) Give me a straight and simple answer without editorializing.

my ex husband and the father of my for children has retired and is on social security so my youngest son has been on disability since he was a teenager and since his father is on social security my son may be able to collect from his fathers social security record. You probably wonder why doesn't my son's father just give me his social security number....well he never supported any of his children, even though support was court ordered...we were married 11 years, had 4 children and he divorced me while I was in Carraway hospital, in Birmingham, Alabama having electro shock treatments, after a nervous breakdown...we divorced in 1976 and I had 4 small children ages 1 year to 6 years....my children never had love or support from their father which is an injustice...so you see it will help my disabled son if I can get his fathers social security number to give to Social Security Administration.

I understand why the wealthly love him. He is about the rich getting richer. Wealthy and Poor Minorities have always gotten the short end of the stick with him. But poor white people are something of an inigma in our current political environment. They are being overtaxed, underserved and undereducated and sent into military at rates much higher than there wealthier counterparts. And they continue to follow blindly to the slaughter. Surely gay marriage, flag burning and abortion cant be that much of a distraction?

Note: For the sake of this discussion If you or your family earns less than 40K annually, you are poor.

Seriously, is anyone going to vote or think differently because someone trolled here about "why are dems so stupid" or "why are neo-cons so lame?" Is there no way to exchange ideas without resorting to childish schoolyard style name calling?
