my cat's eyes have brown spots of color in them...he's had it for a while and doesn't seem to be bothered by it...but is this something i should be concerned about?

I was cleaning in front of my house and i let my golden retriever roam around the front to get some air. Now nothing has happened yet until my brother plays catch with it up and down the street. Then a man comes out and yells out that my dog shouldn't be allowed to run around freely. He says that its making his cat scared. He said ,"Since i have my cat on a leash, you should too." My dog was no where near his house. It never barked either. All it did was play fetch. So he also mentioned that he could call animal control and that it was illegal. So is it?

Does anyone know if skin tags or warts are normal for an eight week old puppy? I just noticed them today and was wondering if I should be concerned. They are located on the underside...his belly.

I dont think it would be fair to have a dog or a cat if I dont have a garden, though it would be better than the cages at the cat and dog home.
and I dont know how practical it would be ,to have a cat or dog in a flat.lot of things to take into account.
so what about rabbits?

....when it comes to outlawing unnecessary and cruel procedures to animals?

For instance, I'm pretty sure that it's illegal to declaw cats, and I've just learned that they don't allow tail or ear cropping either.

Why do you suppose they're so much more advanced than the US in this respect?

(I hope this doesn't sound like I think the US is all that and a bag of chips and the UK is backward!)

Hello
Heidi is seven years old has been spaded.
Yesterday she went outside and came back in and layed on the kitchen floor. I looked down and there was a puddle of pee.
I cleaned it up and have been watching her since. She layed on the carpet today and I saw a wet spot. Also a little trickle of
pee on the wood floor in our den. Is there something I can get to give her until I can get her into the vet? I am not sure if its a
urinary infection? Any ideas on this?
Thanks for any help!

Please, no biting or chasing me up a tree! LOL I'm just curious whether it's as opinionated in here as it is in Cats.

In Cats, it's feeding raw v. not feeding raw; the best brands of food; canned v. dry; declaw or not. Perhaps others, I forget.

What are all the arguments about in here?

I went to change my hamster's bedding today. When I grabbed the cage, I saw the hamster was just laying there, all curled up. I touched him and he didn't move. We thought he was dead at first, but he then poked his head up. He wouldn't move at all. I'm not sure of his age. We've had him for 1 1/2 years, but I don't know how old he was when we got him. I think they average about 2 years. But last night, he was perfectly fine! He was running around in his little wheel! He has plenty of water and food. I don't think they hibernate. Is he sick or what?

Well, its kind of strange, actually. At the start of every new year, a lost or stray animal shows up at my house. Dogs, cats, everything. This year it was a kitten. The first night he came, he had to be brought inside because he wouldn't stop yowling. He is so cute, though. Anyway, the problem is that my other cat is very territorial and agressive around male cats, (which is what the kitten is) and I know they won't get along AT ALL. I am sure there will be horrid fights. And it will be hard to keep them from meeting because my other cat comes in and out all day. How do I go about introducing them?

I have two indoor cats that are fixed and declawed, a stray adopted us early this year his name is Tuna, anyway my male and female seem to not want to let him in the house and it's so cold outside these days that he whines at my door, I have a house out there for him and a nice bed but it's really cold, how can I get him in and him not freak out and hurt my other cats? my male is about 9 years old and the female is ify she is adopted but I imagine around the same age, but they have no claws to fight back is that not fair or what! How can I do this without putting Tuna into shock so he doesn't shred my other cats to pieces? I tried once and he bounced off the walls it was scary! or is it to late for Tuna to adapt and get along? he looks like he is only 2 years old at the most he is big though. Sorry if this is confusing everyone.

Is there anything you can do to help a cat get through distemper......... and before you ask, yes they have had their shots. One of my kittens brought it home from the vet after he was neutered. He somehow pulled through, I never knew that was what he had because it was so mild. Now I have lost three of his siblings and have two very ill. One is 9 months - an older sibling - and the other is a littermate 5 months old. Please is there ANYTHING I can do to save my remaining babies???

Keeping warm, giving pedilite......... what else? Vet is 1100 per kitten with no promises, I do not have that kind of money - I just spent tons having them all spayed and neutered!! PLEASE HELP

I have been looking online for a while now and i'm just a little confused with the lingo. What im wondering is will a waterfall filter, like the one i use in my freshwater tank, work in a salt water tank if it is joined by live rock and a protein skimmer? Also if there are any other little tips for a nano tank i would much appreciate.
