my cat's eyes have brown spots of color in them...he's had it for a while and doesn't seem to be bothered by it...but is this something i should be concerned about?

Red and burning eyes
Sometimes, this sign of cat disease indicates respiratory problems. It can also be caused by dust.

Running eyes
This is always due to a cold.

Eyes turning opaque
This sign of cat disease indicates a major ocular problem. Consult your veterinary immediately .

One of ours has a spot in one of his, but the vet said it wasn't important. It doesn't seem to affect him at all.

Once cats get older, it seems they get more discoloration in their eyes.. But some cats are born with different colored eyes, just like humans. I know people that have green eyes with spots of brown in them. I don't believe it is harmful to them, but if they start having more discharge, or become milky in color, take the kitty to the vet
