When my mum got hom she went out to feed the rabbits and saw the babys two had died because of the heat we think and then this morning i went out there nice and early to see if they were ok and two were dead but one is still alive and he/she is really nice and pink compared to the others which were pail white. How often does the mum feed them because i dont even no if she has been near them yet. how old can they be before i can pick him/her up?Please help the baby is in a hutch with its mum at the moment its a really hot day today as well we are doing everything to keep them cool.

I think its how you treat the animal. Any animal can be mean, its just how you treat it.

I know they sell Purina Cat Chow and Purina Dog Chow, but how about Bison Chow, for those who keep pet bisons?

Is the area where you live zoned for bisons as pets? Would you like to have a bison as a pet?

I am thinking about opening a pet store. I think it would be cool to model it after a house. This is what I would do:

Bedroom 1 - Large Puppies

Bedroom 2 - Small Puppies

Bedroom 3 - Cats

Bedroom 4 - Rodents

Living Room - Where products are sold

Family Room - Where families that are interested in the puppies can see take them out of the room and play with them in here.

Kitchen and Dining Room - puppies food is made and eaten.

Basement - Vet

I would keep all the puppies and cats free to walk around the there rooms. There would be no crates. I also would take them in the fenced in backyard to go to the bathroom and play. The doors would be glass so the people could see in the room. I WOULDN'T buy from puppy mills. Instead, I would buy from great breeders that don't breed to make money. Would you buy from here? Why or why not?

We have a ferret who is 9 years old. She was taken to the vet a year ago and he found nothing wrong with her. At that time she had lost weight and fur on her tail but was eating well and moving well. She has gone downhill since then. She is now at this point: she does not use her littler box(she's in a cage that is 9x9), stumbles around frequently, when she urinates she drinks it despite her full bottle of fresh water which she will also drink, and sleeps a lot but lately she's up and down a lot. This morning I found blood on the newpaper in her cage. I have debated euthanasia for months now and wonder if today is the day. Any suggestions and any thoughts as to her ailment?

PS We used to take her out to play a lot before she became incontinent.

My cat's power would be (and is) the ability to "sense" a treat from 200 yards. :-)

I have a few questions about gerbils and miniature dwarf hamsters. I think I'll be buying one or the other this weekend.

1. How active are gerbils and miniature dwarf hamsters? Will they run away if you let it sit on your floor?

2. How big of a cage is appropriate to buy for a each of them?

3. I have a younger sister whose 9 years old. Will she be able to take care of it?

4. is it best to get a cage with many obstacles like tunnels, ect?
I have a cage that is basically an aquarium. It doesn't have any fish in it. After I clean it, will that be suitable? I know it's plenty big.

5. How often do you have to empy their litter?

6. Are they fun animals?

Yeah. That's it! Thanks for answering my questions.
You don't have to answer the questions for both a gerbil and a miniature dwarf hamster, but if you have both, could you? If you just have one of them, answer it for the small animal you have.

Mine are definitely comic relief, even though I do take serious care of them. Some people don't seem to see the comic aspect of their pets and are so deadpan serious about them.
