If it's a domestic rabbit, it shouldn't be too hard to catch. Probably the easiest way is to get a large fishing dip net and have a couple people help you. Domestic rabbits although fast will normally get tired after a minute or two. If you get a few people to help herd the rabbit in your direction it makes it a lot easier to catch up the rabbit with a dip net. A long handled large fishing dip net works good. Just make sure to try keeping the rabbit away from things that it can run under.

Another way you can try catching it is by setting out a live trap with rabbit pellets in it.

Don't grab the rabbit by the ears. That can dislocate the ears and hurt the rabbit. The best way to pick a rabbit up is by putting one hand under its chest and the other on its rump. However the rabbit will be scared from running around and will probably want to squirm a lot. In that instance, the best way to pick the rabbit up is by the hide right behind the ears. The rabbit may scream from being frightened, but picking the rabbit up behind the neck should not hurt the rabbit. The rabbit will scream out of fright, not pain.

The rabbit doesn't need help, and attempting to "help" it will probably do more harm than good. It has found shelter under your picnic table. You should just enjoy it's company and remember that they are designed to live outside in the wild.

Well, i don't have much exp. with rabbits but lets assume there like cats. if you walk up to a stry cat then it'll run away, so after its gone then set up like a box or sumthing to keep it warm, and maybe it'll come back in a while after you leave.
it's a possibility but Hey, if it dies it happens- cool that you care tho

simplist way to catch a bunny is to sneak up on it...make sure it doesnt hear u, and grab it by the ears...as painfull as it sounds, it doesnt hurt the bunny.
Then, i guess u could move it inside to keep it warm if ur parents wud let you...

either that or put something warm out there...

ie..jacket or a blanket it could crawl under...
or like..heat up a stone..haha...but i dont recommend that
