I am hoping to get a tortoise soon, probably a young one. I have been reading about tortoise tables and vivariums on the net but am confused over which would be best. Can anyone offer any advice please? Thanks.

I am breeding mice in a tank and I have 3 females and 1 male. I think that the female is pregnant. I am wondering what do I have to do, do i move all the other females and the male to another tank and just leave her or do I just leave them all together? Do I leave the male and the female together?

I am new at this and I just don't want anything to go wrong. Thanks

Ok, you know those little running balls that you can put hamsters in and they will run around the house? Well, is it true that their little toes can get stuck in the air cracks? If this is true, then why does the company keep making them? Its so cruel.

I am thinking of getting a couple of hermit crabs as pets. How long do they live for and has anyone else ever had them? Also, what essential kit is needed apart from vivarium and heat lamps?

Then he started chewing in the corners of the sheetrock and anything else he could. I bought hin the treat cabob and chew toys. It doesn't seem to be helping. Is this what life with a bunny is like. Is he going to totally destroy my home?

Hi everyone. I am searching for diotomaceous earth. It is used as a bug control product, but is green/health based (no chemicals). I found a flea on my Yorkie the other day and I'm panicking. I work in the downtown core of Toronto (york/king) and am hoping someone knows somewhere within walking distance of here that sells this stuff. Or, in the durham region (i live in Courtice, just east of Oshawa). I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Thanks!

I do. It is our responsibilty to care for them, and for me that means making sure they are as healthy and happy as possible. A fat animal is not healthy, most of them are probably are not happy either.

Why horses are deprived of enjoying the sex. I have seen them frustrated for not having sex. Some owners also whip them on their testicles. I think they get blue balls (a painfull condition of balls when you get exited but are not allowed to ejaculate)

When my cat uses his litterbox to urinate, the smell is strong and the whole apt smells like cat urine. He's never been fixed. He has an "enclosed" litterbox with filters, but that smell still goes thru the apt. Its a sickening smell and its embarrassing. I change his box daily also. I use Fresh Step litter. Its that when he pees, its a strong smell, and he doesn't always "cover" his pee with the litter. He just goes in his litterbox, pees and leaves. Can anyone tell me what can I do to keep my house from smelling like that please?

My mare is a 7 yr. old App. She has only been trained for about 2 years, but walks/trots very well. She is just becoming balanced at the canter, and is starting to collect it on her own, but it isn't a perfect collected canter. I have been trotting and cantering over jumps about 6"-1 ft., and she has been clearing them, but whenever I raise them any higher she knocks them down. How do I fix this, and how can I get her more versital as a jumping horse? She seems to love jumping, but I don't want to spend the money to have her trained. Any tips?

Earlier, I posted a question about Spousal Abuse. But isn't the abuse and neglect of precious animals. Just as tragic? And should anyone, who is convicted of mistreatment, neglect, or abuse of these creatures. Be sentenced any less severely. Than if they had done the same to a person?
