I am thinking of starting a new tradition: I am going to get their bodies stuffed and dedicate a room out of my house just for the shrine. To remember them all by, you know?

It will be just like the zoo, except with out movement...

Hey, I need to know what sort of things you need to provide for a pet scorpion. I know about the tank and heated rock or heat pad, but what else do they need, and what do I feed them? Also, do you require a liscence to own them? And (this is the last question, I promise) should the tank have a lid on it (it is a glass tank)

Thankyou =D

I would really love to have my own rabbit, either from a pet store or from a rescue or shelter.
I was wondering if anyone out there who owns rabbits, guinea pigs, big hedgehogs or ferrets have ever built there own cage out of a wood / wire type thing... :)
The reason I am asking is because it seems like a lot of 'medium' sized animal owners make their own indoor cages for their animals. I'm wondering because most of the cages out there seem very expensive, good-sized ones $100+. Anyone out there know a helpful website / book / personal ideas on what I could do to possibly build my own cage for maybe under $60 that would be able to hold a medium sized rabbit... thanks! :)

I'm not sure what to decide. The price for the baby hedgies is fantastic, but I'm a bit wary of the fact that they also breed nine other species of animals. They also don't have a lot of information on their site about their animals care or socialization, so I'm not sure. Should I message them and ask, or delete this from my list?

I've been comparing every breeder I come across to another that I like a lot, should I continue doing so? Links to both breeders are below. =)

(Before anyone suggests this, I am unable to purchase a hedgie from the second website. They don't ship, and I'm not able to drive to the farm to pick up the hoglet.)

The one I'm not sure about-

________
The one I'm comparing everything else to-

If anyone has any other good breeders that are willing to ship they could suggest, I'd be very grateful. Thanks! =)

Help me make a perfect pet list?

My apartment's manager must approve of the pet. They are very strict here
Even dog breeds though that might take a bit longer to get cause I have to save up a lot of money.

I live in an apartment and have wanted a pet like all my life but my apartment doesn't allow snakes, ferrets and certain dog breeds and also if I get a dog or cat they will charge me 400$ deposit!
I have to take a list of pets to the office to see if they allow me to have it. Need a good quiet pet so birds are out of the question unless there is one that isn't too noisy.

So far I have iguana, sugar glider,

My heart hurts :(
Thank you!
No Asshole answers pls!

I would like to hear ideas on pets that can live comfortably in glass habitat, but also is a low maintence animal for a five year old. Also, an animal that doesn't get to grow too large in size, I would like something that stays relatively the same size.

I am in desperate need of getting my three female pits and 1 female cat fixed. I can't afford much. I live in Columbus Georgia and the cheapest I can find is $ 65 dollars each at our local humane society. Does anyone know of a place that might to it for cheaper or free?

I had 1 male rat and 3 female rats the females gave birth we then had around 32 and my mum set free all the female rats (including baby rats) except for 1 adult and 1 baby. She will do the same to the rest of them but I don't want her to so I hope that somepeople will take some as I want to save as many as I can.
(I have tried phoning rescue centers but they didn't reply so I went on to their website and it says that they can't take any more pets same with pet shops).
What should I do ?

I don't understand why everyone believes what they hear or see on the PETA website. I used to be a supporter of them, and I do believe that they do good for the world. However, I have now noticed how very one-sided their "investigations" truly are. I watched a video of them "investigating" a Pet Store chain that I work for. All they did was slam the company as if EVERY store had the same problems as the one in the video. I found it to be wrong, and very insulting, as our chain is known to be one of the most kind to animals. In our store, the "sick" room has about 7-10 animals at any given time. They said HUNDREDS. We don't even have room enough in the sick room for that many animals!

I just want to know why PETA feels like they can't show the other side of the story.. And why so many people blindly support them when there is so much missing from their information.

We have two ferrets, both were fully litter trained when we bought them. The male always uses the litter box, the female will 90% of the time. She will deficate in the one of two corners in the living room periodically. She's annoyed at something, but I haven't been able to find out what. She will use the litter box (we used the same litter she was trained on) and will than romp for about five minutes and than she'll run to the corner to deficate. If we catch her and put her in the litter box she makes a show of going and than attempts to return to the corner. She doesn't always do this and it's sometimes weeks in between happenings. There haven't been any major changes in the environment, food or water. Any ideas? Or any ideas where I could get a look into the crazy pet's mind?
