Help me make a perfect pet list?
My apartment's manager must approve of the pet. They are very strict here
Even dog breeds though that might take a bit longer to get cause I have to save up a lot of money.
I live in an apartment and have wanted a pet like all my life but my apartment doesn't allow snakes, ferrets and certain dog breeds and also if I get a dog or cat they will charge me 400$ deposit!
I have to take a list of pets to the office to see if they allow me to have it. Need a good quiet pet so birds are out of the question unless there is one that isn't too noisy.
So far I have iguana, sugar glider,
My heart hurts :(
Thank you!
No Asshole answers pls!

Aww I had never heard of a puggle before! They are adorable. If I get lucky enough to get a dog I would like to take it jogging with me or for walks.
I can't wait! Thank you so much everyone! I will take the list to the manager tomorrow to see what he says. Either way keep adding if you have anymore suggestions.

I am allowed to have a fish, dog, none loud birds, cat, hamster and maybe something else as long as it is caged. But I don't think they will let me have a bunny or anything like that! They said not in a luxury apartment! Oh I will get something. I did have my hopes up for an iguana. I have had 5 of those that I took care of and loved so much. I can't believe they won't let me have one of those. I might get some fish and a hamster then a puppy. I have much experience with all kinds of animals and am about to go work at a pet shop so I can put my skills to work. Plus I get to be around all those wonderful animals and nice people. I have rescued kittens, iguanas, lizards, geckos, tortoises, turtles, ferrets, puppies, birds, snakes, hamsters and some other animals. I was lucky to

That sucks that they won't let me have an iguana! They are soo loving and affectionate. Mine were. I had one that passed away and i was so close to. It would come and lay on my lap , curl up and fall asleep. We would take showers together and it would crawl onto my foot and look up at me. I could tell that she liked the water because it was closing its eyes and looked peaceful. It was the best I had ever had and will have one one day.
I went to the pet store to checkout some pets and ran into a ferret that wanted to cuddle with me right away. I cried cause i was so angry that they won't let my have those either.

An iguana would not be ideal for a first time pet in an apartment. They get huge and require fairly specific light and heat requirements. There are other reptiles- smaller lizards, turtles, a tortoise (I like them, very neat little pets), a snake. You could get something that's small and in a tank- fish, a frog of some sort. You say no rodents, do they just mean like mice, rats and hamsters? Will they let you have a Guinea pig, Degu, or Rabbit?
Sugar Gliders are sweet little pets but like company and are mostly nocturnal. Hedgehogs are great fun too, but again nocturnal.
Not all birds are loud if taken care of. Small birds like some finches or a canary wouldn't be heard by your neighbors. Even a cockateil, budgie, or lovebird could be ok if they are well taken care of so they don't scream out of boredom. I had 3 lovebirds in an apartment before with no complaints.
If you don't want to spend the money on the deposit for a cat, or dog, you might just need to wait and rethink getting a pet right now, it might suck, but could be in your and the pets best interest at the moment.

I think it depends entirely on what you want out of a pet.
You can't have "a" sugar glider, they need to be kept in pairs. I've heard they're also on the smelly side.
Iguanas are not affectionate, get to be 5 feet long and need room sized enclosures, heat lights, UVB lights, high humidty mist machines, and only eat fresh fruits and veggies. They're one of the highest maintence pets you can get, and many aren't friendly.
I would say a rabbit would be a good pet to consider. They're quiet, relatively easy to care for and can be litterbox trained and let run around the house when you are home. They can be very affectionate and like to play.

But I have 5 bunnys, 1 inside and 4 outside, I clean the cage every 2 days and itdoes not smell bad, they are little dogs! But I also rats, I have them in a 29 gallon high, they are as smart as dogs and affoncate as dogs.

Rabbits are cool pets if you train them properly. If you choose the right ones, they will sit on your lap and watch TV with you :). the initial set-up is very expensive and it would be best to get one when you have a few weeks off from work, so you can train it properly. .
The good thing about them is, if they do poo outside of their litterbox, it's small, hard, non-smelly and won't ruin the carpet. Some rabbits like to dig up carpet, so you would need to give it a little box of dirt to dig in :). they also need hay, but you can just put some in a box, so it doesn't mess up the apartment. they are companion animals, so you would probably need to get two, so they can keep each other company when you are out.

ha ha u r a best individual i love ur query... A lot of individuals have the improper suggestion that dreaming of loss of life foretells of a cherished one death. First of all, goals are a many matters, however psychic they don't seem to be. Our goals replicate what's going on within our minds and hearts. They manage (and variety out) matters that we're presently experiencing or matters that we have got presently skilled. Now having stated that, we will take the expertise and symbolism discovered in our goals to support us sooner or later. So, in that regard, they are able to furnish warnings and admonitions. However, please don’t ever feel they foretell dangerous omens or that dreaming of darkness is a prediction for upcoming darkness. If you've gotten had a dream which concerned loss of life, leisure confident that you're a ways from by myself. We’ve all had loss of life goals and, whilst troubling, everyone knows that they slink out of our lives simply as rapid as they slunk in. Death goals more commonly imply that you're fearful or concerned. You would possibly not wholly detect how a lot anxiousness you’re truthfully feeling. Many occasions, troubling goals like this wave a flag for the man or woman and reason them to detect simply how a lot pressure they’ve been beneath. The dreamer can then detect that they must pull again slightly bit – revel in lifestyles extra as an alternative than simply anxiously looking to get from factor A to factor B! Almost all goals of death will also be traced again to an overworked, overly fearful man or woman very a lot in want of a few time without work!

Your heart hurts - what a joke. Grow up. Dogs bark, cats meow, and birds chirp. You really shouldn't get a pet right now. Do you work? Who will be home with the pet while you are gone? Is this just for your ego, what YOU want - or do you have the pet's best interests in mind?
If you think the $400 deposit is shocking then, again, you are not ready for a pet. All pets require water, food, shelter and medical care. The $400 is nothing - it's the MAINTENANCE that will kill you! Think of the recent pet food recall. Hundreds of owners of both cats and dogs suddenly had to rush their pets to the vet for a week's hospitalization (just 3 days = approx. $1,000) and their pets still died! Can you afford that? What about yearly checkups, immunizations, and yearly teeth cleanings ($250)? And those costs are in addition to the price of the office visit. Are you living paycheck to paycheck, or do you have about $2,000 saved in case of emergencies that you can spend on your pet if needed?
What about spaying or neutering? You DO plan to be a responsible pet owner, right?! If you don't, then suddenly you will have a handful of babies in the apartment and you'll come on Yahoo Answers whining, "How do I housetrain them? They're leaving piles of pee and poop all over the carpeting! How long before I can give them away? How do I find good homes for all of them?!" Suddenly instead of wanting animals you'll be trying to get rid of them!
Think about your lifestyle. If you are gone at work and the dog starts barking and barking, your apartment neighbors are going to begin complaining to the manager. What will you do then? Move? - or dump your friend at the nearest pound? Will you then say, "Aw gee I should have thought of that!" Cats require litterboxes - can you deal with the constant cleaning and occasional smell? If you don't keep it clean, they tend to leave their little piles of poop elsewhere since cats are fastidious and won't step in a dirty box. You don't even know what SPECIES you want, let alone which breed! You have a LOT of homework to do first.
Will you be (pick one): going back to school to take more courses, being "downsized" and losing your job, getting a new job, getting married, having a baby, getting a new roommate, or moving? Are you allergic to dogs or cats? Do you even know? Try going to a humane society or rescue organization and volunteering there for hours at a time. If you get sick, then you'll know!
Just because you can do something doesn't mean it's always the right time. You haven't a clue. You need to do your research, and a lot of it, first. If you are so crazy about pets, volunteer at the local Humane Society or rescue organization. Those places are always crying out for volunteers and would appreciate someone who is responsible and CONSISTENT. But bear in mind that, much like having a pet, you can't just do it when you feel like it. It's a committment! Try volunteering for a year first. See if you can deal with the work involved as well as learn something.

I would say a rabbit. They come in all sizes so you could get a small one. I raise Mini Rex and they stay about 4# full grown. They can be litter trained. They do chew so you would have to watch that. I give mine chunks of applewood, but any wood could work, as long as it's not treated.
They do not bark.
They do not need vaccines or regular vet visits. You can learn to treat them yourself with alittle research.
If you do decide on a rabbit please do not buy from a petstore-find a breeder in your area. You can do that at the ARBA website. http://www.arba.net

Why don't you get a saltwater aquarium setup. There are countless cool creatures you can keep in it happily. Like a Mantis shrimp that can reconize it' owner. Or a nice freshwater tank for a snapping turtle. Monsters need love too

Fish are nice, very relaxing to watch, but sometimes apartments will not allow fish tanks due to water damage. We have a 125 gallon aquarium and it's very nice to watch. Rabitts (someone suggested) are very smelly! We had one and her cage smelled terrible, despite constant cleaning. We were told we could let her out and train her to use a litter box......not true. She chewed through every electrical cord we had for phones, lamps, etc. A small dog that doesn't bark much and are very devoted to their owners are miniature dachshunds. We have one and she's very quiet, very loving and a great companion. Good luck on your pet search.................

Rabbit
Rat or mouse (although your landlord probably wont allow these in case they escape)
Turtle
Fish
Hamster or guinea pig
Lizard of some type
Ask at a pet store for bird types that dont make much noise & other pet ideas.
