Hey, I need to know what sort of things you need to provide for a pet scorpion. I know about the tank and heated rock or heat pad, but what else do they need, and what do I feed them? Also, do you require a liscence to own them? And (this is the last question, I promise) should the tank have a lid on it (it is a glass tank)

Thankyou =D

A few good things you can add to a scorpions tank to make it right at home are:
Sand. The kind you can get from the pet store that is used for reptiles. Calci sand or any reptile sand. Color does not matter to the scorp. As long as it is the fine sand that is like you would find in the desert. A hiding place should be made available. A flat rock slightly raised. Or if you have enough sand in there, you can just start to dig a little hole under the rock. The scorpion will find it and finish the hole and make itself at home there. You might want to add a few rocks for it to chose from.
You can get crickets from the pet store. The scorpion will eat these readilly. You do not want to add too many at a time. It will frusterate the scorpion and even cause it to stop eating. Try adding 2 at a time. Wait for it to eat them before adding anymore. (3 or 4 crickets depending on the size of your tank). You will want a flat rock dish for it's water. You only want to put enough water in to wet the bottom of the dish. You can also get the flat rock dish in the reptile section of most pet stores. You can also try a flat sponge. Wetting it daily. But keep an eye out to make sure it has learned to drink from it. You can also mist the cage with a water bottle. But this will also wet the sand. Might not work well. Go with the sponge or flat rock dish. Try burying the dish so the scorpion can just walk into the dish to drink. Again making sure the water is just enough to cover the bottom. Don't want to drown the scorpion. Keep it warm of course, and keep hiding spots. Chances are it won't ever be able to climb the glass. But you might want to put a lid on just in case of that tiny percent chance that it manages to climb the corners.

I had a scorpion that lived on my fence once. It seemed to enjoy stinging me in the thumb. Twice.
